Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is open to the possibility of a super-fight with young superstar Gervonta Davis, but only under one major condition.
Manny Pacquiao, 44, has not competed in an official bout since his August 2021 loss to Yordenis Ugas 27 months ago. The defeat ended a three-fight win streak and derailed what seemed to be one last run at a mega-fight with pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford.

Since the Filipino sports icon and politician has not been connected to a new booking over the last two years, many have assumed the eight-division champion had finally hung up his legendary gloves after nearly 30 years in the sport. However, it seems “Pac-Man” is not against a return to the ring for one last big fight.
Manny Pacquiao open to Gervonta Davis fight at 145 pounds
In a conversation with Fight Hub TV before the recent Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou heavyweight clash, Pacquiao was asked if he was officially retired. The boxer superstar claimed he was still an “active” fighter and training regularly for a potential exhibition rematch against fellow legend Floyd Mayweather.
During the chat, the idea of a bout with fast-rising star Gervonta Davis was suggested, and Pacquiao was not opposed to the matchup and said, “If he comes up to 147, we can fight.”

Davis is currently a champion at lightweight, or 135 pounds in boxing. When asked by Fight Hub TV if 140 was possible, Pacquiao claimed that 145 pounds would be as low as he would be willing to go at his age.
When asked how he thought the fight would go, Manny Pacquiao claimed “Tank’s” power and experience would be “no problem” for him. It will be interesting if word gets to Davis and if he has any interest in a matchup with the combat sports legend.
