Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods tears ACL in practice

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods sustained a torn ACL at practice on Friday, ESPN reported.

Per the network, Woods was able to finish practice and conduct interviews with the media before tests later revealed the severity of the injury. That’s likely why Woods did not appear on the injury report Friday.

Woods’ injury came on the same day that the Rams signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Woods, 29, has 45 receptions for 556 yards and four touchdowns in nine games this season.

He has 570 catches for 7,077 yards and 35 touchdowns in 125 career games with the Buffalo Bills and Rams. He was selected by the Bills in the second round of the 2013 draft out of Southern California.

Teammate Cooper Kupp leads the NFL in receptions (74), receiving yards (1,019) and receiving touchdowns (10).

Beckham, 29, was traded in 2019 by the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns, who agreed Friday to waive him following a social media post from Beckham’s father criticizing quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Browns and Beckham came to terms on a reworked contract before placing him on waivers.
