Los Angeles Rams receiver Robert Woods tore ACL same day team signed Odell Beckham Jr.

The Los Angeles Rams are going all-in this season, in an attempt to get back to the Super Bowl after falling just short in 2018. With a stacked roster, they added even more talent by signing Odell Beckham Jr. Some questioned whether the star receiver would have enough targets leftover from Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and Van Jefferson.

After all, the team did just release Desean Jackson due to the veteran wideout feeling underutilized within Sean McVay’s offense.

However, now Dianna Russini’s reporting one of their star receivers is set to miss the rest of the season. Coincidentally (or maybe not) on the same day the team worked to ink OBJ to a one-year deal, Robert Woods suffered a torn ACL during practice.

Losing Woods is a tough blow for a Rams team many are projecting to go deep into the postseason. Woods was tied for 15th in the NFL, with 70 targets through nine games this season.

Now, Odell Beckham Jr. should be able to play a larger role for the Rams and will likely become a starter in LA before long. OBJ will make his debut with the Rams on Monday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Maybe Desean Jackson wishes he would have stuck around now, but hindsight is always 20/20.
