Arizona Cardinals schedule release includes epic trolling of 2023 opponents

The Arizona Cardinals will join the rest of the NFL in releasing their full 17-game schedule for the 2023 season later on Thursday.

However, Arizona’s social media team took it upon themselves to absolutely troll their opponents for the upcoming campaign. We’ve seen similar things in previous schedule releases. But the Cards seem to take the cake.

They compared each opponent to a music track in a thread that will make even fans of opposing teams spit up their water.

It started with Arizona absolutely going after the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles by linking a holding call on cornerback James Bradberry in last season’s Super Bowl loss to Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home.”

“Just hold on we’re going home. Just hold on we’re going home. It’s hard to do these things alone. Just hold on we’re going home.” Nah, that’s just mean.

Arizona then decided to make fun of the defending NFC West champion San Francisco 49ers and their perceived quarterback competition by mocking Trey Lance with “Irreplaceable” by Beyonce.

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys also weren’t immune from the epic troll job, one that would delight Tom Brady.

“I Fall Apart” by Post Malone? Are you serious? Perhaps, the Cardinals are referencing Prescott’s late-game mistake against the San Francisco 49ers in the 2022 NFC Wild Card Playoffs. Heck, they could also be referencing his two-interception performance in last season’s divisional playoff loss to San Francisco. Notice the background of the Prescott picture?

Nope, the Arizona Cardinals were not done there. They decided to take a shot at another NFC West rival in that of the Los Angeles Rams by trolling Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp in epic fashion.

We don’t even need to provide an explanation here. You can do the math.

The Cardinals might be in a joking mood now. But the same likely won’t be said once the games are actually played. They finished last season with a 4-13 record and are expected to be near the bottom of the standings in 2023.

Either way, check out the entire thread right here.
