Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars were a mistake waiting to happen in the first half of Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens.

Lawrence lost a fumble in the red zone with Jacksonville looking to take a 7-3 lead. Meanwhile, Brandon McManus missed two field goals.

Despite putting up 181 total yards in the first two quarters, Jacksonville found itself down 10-0 at the half.

What transpired at the end of the half was downright humiliating for the Jaguars. Lawrence hit Zay Jones on a 36-yard pass down to the five yard line. Jones caught the ball with 25 seconds remaining.

Lawrence ran the team up to the line with no timeouts remaining. Most figured the team would spike the ball and try a play or two in the end zone before kicking the field goal.

Instead, Lawrence threw the ball. It went to wide receiver Parker Washington, who was kept in bounds by Baltimore’s defense. Time ran out without the Jaguars scoring a single point.

It was ugly. Really, really ugly.

You just can’t make that type of mistake in professional football. In reality, it was all on Trevor Lawrence. He needed to know the game situation. Instead, the former No. 1 pick failed miserably.
