The early betting trends for Super Bowl LIV were heavily tilted in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the San Francisco 49ers. One day ahead of the big game, and that trend has continued.
Barrett Salee of CBS Sports shared that 61% of the total tickets are for the Chiefs to win, and even more stunningly, 72% of the total dollars are on the Chiefs, who are one-point favorites to win.
Seen as underdogs since conference championship weekend, the 49ers have had some big bets go their way as well, with the largest bet currently going being $1 million.
Still, given the fact that even some NFL coaches and front-office personnel expect the Chiefs to win big, it’s not surprising that the white-hot team is surging at sportsbooks across the nation.
