After becoming a Heisman candidate thanks to being one of the most productive quarterbacks in college football, one would think Oregon’s Bo Nix would be a top NFL Draft prospect, right? Not exactly.

Nix, who’s set to turn 24 on the 25th, isn’t viewed as a ‘young’ prospect, when compared to many of his peers. Caleb Williams is 22, Drake Maye turns 22 in August, and Jayden Daniels doesn’t turn 24 until December. Michael Penix Jr., who turns 24 in May, is a more fair comparison, but he’s also not viewed as a top NFL Draft QB prospect.

But that’s why Nix and Penix are down in Mobile, Alabama, practicing and preparing for the Senior Bowl, where they’ll have one final chance to make a strong impression during live game action. With a strong effort, we could see the draft stock of Nix and Penix spike, yet as we all know, a bad performance could lead to the opposite.

The Senior Bowl wrapped up its second day of practice on Wednesday, where Oregon’s Bo Nix had a chance to show more NFL scouts what he could do. With so many teams in need of either a new starter, or just another developmental option, all eyes were on the former star Ducks QB.

Yet, according to Bleacher Report, Nix had a “bad” second day of practice, where he missed several throws in team drills and even during one-on-one sessions.

In fact, they go on to state that if there was a competition to win the best quarterback of the Senior Bowl, Nix wouldn’t rank first, second, or even third. In other words, he still has plenty of room for growth between now and the NFL Draft Combine on Feb. 26.
