While the Washington Commanders have interviewed several candidates, there seems to be one they’ve zeroed in on. Unlike before, when several teams were still deciding on their new hires, the Commanders are the only job available, which means Washington can take their pick of the litter.

According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, rumors coming out of the Senior Bowl point to the Commanders hiring Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn for their head coaching vacancy.

Quinn has not only been an NFL head coach before, spending parts of six seasons leading the Atlanta Falcons, he’s once again become a top head coaching candidate thanks to his wild success with the Cowboys’ D. Considering Dallas has led a top-ten defense in points allowed in all three of Quinn’s seasons at the helm, he could be an ideal fit to help rebuild the Commanders’ defense too.

After leading a 43-42 record with the Falcons, which included a Super Bowl appearance, Quinn could be on the verge of getting his second opportunity to be an NFL head coach, which is something very few coaches ever get.
