It’s been a wild and chaotic first two days of NFL free agency. Quarterbacks Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, and Justin Fields have found new homes, while future Hall of Famers Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers are looking for a place to play in 2025. Who else is looking for a payday as we enter Day 3 of NFL free agency? Here are the top remaining free agents.

Aaron Rodgers, Quarterback
Even though Aaron Rodgers is technically not a free agent, we’re including him on the list since the New York Jets are moving on from him, even though they haven’t made it official yet. Despite Rodgers’ Jets tenure being an unmitigated disaster, he still threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns during a 5-12 season. He is 41, brings unnecessary drama and headaches, and is not the same QB as he was in his prime, but franchises will always seem enamored with him because of his pedigree. Will Pittsburgh be his next stop with Justin Fields moving on to the Jets?
Russell Wilson, Quarterback
Despite making his 10th Pro Bowl team in 2024, the market seems quiet on the Russell Wilson front so far. Wilson rebounded with the Pittsburgh Steelers following two roller-coaster seasons with the Denver Broncos. After coming back from a calf injury, he led Pittsburgh to six of seven wins but then lost the last five of the season, including the Wild Card game against the Baltimore Ravens. Wilson finished the season throwing for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, five interceptions and a 63.7 completion percentage.
Mekhi Becton, Guard
Mekhi Becton resurrected his career with the Philadelphia Eagles and much-revered offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland. After four forgettable seasons with the New York Jets, the former first-round pick moved to right guard and became a dominant force on one of the best offensive lines in the league. He was a key part as to why Saquon Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards. Becton will only be 26 when the 2025 season begins, so his prime years should be ahead of him, barring any setbacks.

Amari Cooper, Wide Receiver
Following two consecutive 1,100-yard receiving seasons (1,160 in 2022 and 1,250 in 2023), Amari Cooper’s numbers were cut to less than half as he finished with 547 receiving yards in 14 games. Cooper, who missed two games due to a wrist injury, was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Buffalo Bills at the deadline. Even though he will be 31 for the 2025 season, he can still be a solid No. 2 receiver addition. Over 10 seasons, Cooper has 10,033 receiving yards and 64 touchdowns.

Rasul Douglas, Cornerback
Teams in need of a physical cornerback can’t go wrong with Rasul Douglas. In 15 starts with the Buffalo Bills last season, Douglas had five pass breakups, five tackles for loss and one forced fumble. Over his eight-year career, Douglas has accumulated 19 interceptions and 79 pass breakups, including three pick-sixes. He also won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles as a rookie in 2017.

Joey Bosa, Edge Rusher
It was a surprise to see the Chargers move on from their five-time Pro Bowl edge rusher. Bosa enters the market after coming off a bit of a down year, where he recorded just five sacks. However, he’s also had four seasons with double digit sacks, meaning one team might be able to get a star for a bargain of a price.

Stefon Diggs, Wide Receiver
Coming off a torn ACL, it’s no surprise Diggs is still available. Yet, prior to his injury, he was on track for his seventh consecutive 1,000-yard season. He’d be a big upgrade for a number of contenders though some teams might want to wait and see how his knee progresses.

DeMarcus Lawrence, Edge Rusher
He’ll turn 33 in April and is coming off a season in which he only made four appearances. Still, the four-time edge rusher is more than just a sack artist, providing excellent production as a run stopper too. With 61.5 career sacks to his name, it shouldn’t be long before Lawrence lands with a contender.

Cam Robinson, Left Tackle
Traded from the Jaguars to the Vikings ahead of the 2024 NFL trade deadline, Robinson performed reasonably well considering the circumstances. However, Pro Football Focus graded Robinson as the 56th-best tackle among 141 players who were analyzed. Still, worse players have received gigantic contracts, and Robinson is a proven left tackle, so where’s his bag?
Za’Darius Smith, Edge Rusher
A three-time Pro Bowler who’s bounced from team to team, Za’Darius Smith is one of the best edge rushers available. Coming off a nine-sack season split between the Browns and Lions, Smith should be able to come close to double-digit sacks again, no matter which team he signs with.
