Jack of all trades, and current WWE talent, Logan Paul claims that a boxing bout with former UFC star Nate Diaz is in the works, but negotiations with the MMA great have proven to be difficult.

Logan Paul is set to be one of the featured talents on night one of the Wrestlemania 39 extravaganza set to go down this weekend. However, the YouTube personality turned professional athlete still has some big plans outside WWE.

Earlier this week, Paul revealed on his podcast that his contract with the professional wrestling world leader is set to expire after his match against multi-time WWE champ Seth Rollins on Saturday night. That will surely open the door for him to restart his boxing career in the near future, and he reportedly almost had a major fight lined up for later in 2023.

Logan Paul record: 0-1

On Friday, during an interview with BT Sports MMA and wrestling insider Ariel Helwani, Logan Paul revealed that he and his representatives were recently in talks with MMA free agent Nate Diaz, however, talks have hit an impasse.

“I thought I had something locked in and apparently [Diaz] called and said the fights off. Like why? So he can fight someone else? For what purpose? To get less buys and maybe an easier fight? I don’t get it. “

When asked if a fight is still possible, Paul explained to Helwani that the bout could still potentially happen, and explained why the matchup excited him.

“As far as I know it’s not dead because we had to f***ing offer him more money. We had to like bait this guy into fighting me. It’s hard for me to get a fight, because either you aren’t worth my time and energy or you’re not going to sell pay-per-views. I’ll do it but I need a dance partner. I don’t need a tune-up fight. Give me the real dogs. Nate Diaz is a dog. I was looking forward to that fight.”

Logan Paul has not fought since an exhibition clash with boxing icon Floyd Mayweather in 2021. The matchup came following a rematch loss to fellow YouTube star turned boxer KSI in 2019.

Nate Diaz has not competed in combat sports since a win at UFC 279 in September. He ended his UFC career by splitting his last six, including his legendary pair of fights with Conor McGregor.
