Kylian Mbappe, arguably the best soccer player on the planet today, is reportedly set to leave his current team Paris Saint-Germain after next season, could soon end up on the transfer market and be available to the highest bidder.

Over the last couple of weeks, one of the biggest stories in the world of soccer was about the future of superstar Lionel Messi. The Argentinian icon and his former team Paris Saint-Germain chose not to continue their relationship, allowing him to hit the open market. To the surprise of some, the 2022 World Cup champion decided to take his talents to America to play for CF Inter Miami in MLS.

However, unbeknownst to soccer fans, his teammate Kylian Mbappe was also plotting his exit from PSG. On Monday, L’Equipe was the first to report that the 24-year-old star told the team he did not intend to renew his contract after next season and would become a free agent in the summer of 2024.

Kylian Mbappe has massive value to his hometown team after helping them win multiple Ligue 1 titles, however, there is a serious drawback in letting him play out his deal. That is why there will likely soon be major discussions about the team moving him in a transfer to save on a huge payday next season. And there will definitely be many sides interested in landing the one-time World Cup winner.

Assuming Kylian Mbappe hits the transfer market this summer, let’s look at four teams who could push all their chips to the center of the table to land one of the best futbolers on Earth.

Real Madrid

Since the news broke that Mbappe could soon be available, there have already been rumors of Real Madrid being first in line to acquire the Frenchman. And it is understandable since they are now trying to find a superstar replacement for team great Karim Benzema. Furthermore, the two sides flirted last year when there were rumblings of Mbappe being up for grabs. Of the potential contenders, Real may be the best fit.

Chelsea

It has been a tumultuous last year for Chelsea. Owner Roman Abramovich was forced to sell the club due to England’s stance on the war in Ukraine, and they had a rough showing this season. Finishing 12 in the Premier League table. If the club wants to rise back up to prominence and set a tone with its new owners, acquiring Kylian Mbappe would check off several boxes.

Manchester United

Legendary EPL side Manchester United is rumored to be another major brand that could be in play for the French national. They too are an English powerhouse in the midst of a power shift, but unlike Chelsea, they already have a strong team after shipping off problem child Cristiano Ronaldo and finishing an impressive third in the table this season. Mbappe could be the player to bring them their 21st Premier League title in 2024.

Saudi Professional League

The Saudi Professional League has become a major player in the world of soccer in recent years. With billions in disposable funds, they have been throwing absurd sums of money at soccer stars to try and bring relevancy to their league. They have already added Ronaldo and Benzema with nine-figure deals and made a hard run at Messi.

If it comes down to just money, the Saudis have more than enough to land the soccer superstar.
