Fantasy football waiver wire Week 8: Quarterbacks

Gardner Minshew, Indianapolis Colts

If Minshew is still floating around on the Week 8 waiver wire, snag him. He’s averaged 317 passing yards over his last two games and scored four touchdowns this past Sunday. Minshew has been outperforming many stud fantasy QBs, who have us pulling our hair out.

Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints

Typically scrambling to play catchup, Carr has been earning plenty of fantasy points through sheer garbage yards. If available, Carr is worth a pickup on the Week 8 waiver wire after throwing for over 300 yards in each of his past two games.

Tyrod Taylor, New York Giants

After outscoring many other starting quarterbacks in fantasy points, Taylor is a handy stash should Daniel Jones be unable to play in Week 8. He led the Giants to a win after compiling 304 total yards and two touchdowns last week.

Fantasy football waiver wire Week 8: Running Backs

Darrell Henderson, Los Angeles Rams

After the Rams tossed around many RB names heading into Week 7, they decided to lean on Darrell Henderson. This makes Henderson a top waiver wire pickup at running back with both Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers sidelined for another few games.

D’Onta Foreman, Chicago Bears

Foreman was highly efficient in his last game, racking up 120 total yards and three touchdowns, making him a coveted waiver wire pickup. This production won’t repeat with Roschon Johnson likely returning in Week 8. However, it’s hard to imagine the Bears completely shelving Foreman after such a tremendous performance.

Pierre Strong, Cleveland Browns

Pierre Strong will be a popular Week 8 waiver wire pickup with Jermone Ford (ankle injury) potentially missing his next game. Strong will next play in tandem with Kareem Hunt against a Seattle defense that has allowed five rushing touchdowns in six games.

Joshua Kelley, Los Angeles Chargers

Austin Ekeler has been disappointing coming back from his ankle injury. With the Chargers seemingly keeping Joshua Kelley involved on offense, he makes for a Week 8 waiver wire pickup for those thin at RB. Kelley last carried the ball seven times for 75 yards and one TD, outperforming Ekeler in fantasy points.

Emari Demercado, Arizona Cardinals

Welp! The Cardinals started Demercado on Sunday. after confusingly deactivating Keaontay Ingram, making Demercado a waiver wire target for Week 8. Demercado last recorded 17 touches for 75 yards. Those who pick up Demercado will hope the Cardinals continue to stick with their plan.

Waiver wire Week 8: Wide Receivers

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts

Josh Downs is a top waiver wire pickup in Week 8 after delivering his best fantasy performance to date (five catches, 125 yards, and one TD). And that all happened against a very tough Cleveland defense. If Downs is still available, do what you can to claim him.

Joshua Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers

After producing 133 yards on five catches, Joshua Palmer will be highly targeted on the Week 8 waiver wire. He outperformed Keenan Allen and next faces a sketchy Bears defense at home in Week 8.

Kendrick Bourne, New England Patriots

Bourne has had two weeks of solid production, (156 total yards and one TD), making him a good waiver wire option in Week 8. He was last targeted a team-high seven times and this production isn’t likely to dip with the high-rolling Miami Dolphins next on the docket.

Jake Bobo, Seattle Seahawks

Jake Bobo is starting to turn heads in Seattle, and he just had his best performance (61 yards and one TD). He’ll be popular on the Week 8 waiver wire pick for those looking to deepen their rosters. However, the eventual return of DK Metcalf could rain on Bobo’s parade.

Odell Beckham Jr., Baltimore Ravens

Not always a consistent producer, OBJ led the Ravens in targets (seven) for which he produced five catches for 49 yards. Thus, he will garner attention on the Week 8 waiver wire from those scrounging at WR. We will see if this trend continues in Arizona next week.

Fantasy football waiver wire Week 8: Tight Ends

Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills

This rookie TE had himself a day on Sunday after catching all eight of his targets for 75 yards, which makes Dalton Kincaid a top waiver wire target for Week 8. Though keep in mind, the presence of Dawson Knox, and next week’s matchup against a Buccaneers defense that has yet to allow a tight end TD.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints

While playing like a bull in a china shop, Taysom Hill has consistently produced over his last two games. During this stretch, he has tallied 17 touches for a total of 119 yards and one touchdown. Those who pick up Hill off the Week 8 waiver wire can only hope the Saints keep him this involved.
