The Denver Broncos were involved in a ton of rumors leading up to the Nov. 1 NFL trade deadline. That included being linked to a trade of star wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.
Nothing ended up coming to fruition on that end with the Broncos’ asking price being seen as sky high.
With Denver coming off its eighth consecutive non-playoff season, the expectation is that the team will change things up big time this offseason. That’s sure to include releasing high-priced quarterback Russell Wilson.
But there is a lot more to look at here. According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Broncos are expected to trade one of Sutton and Jeudy this offseason.
“After entertaining the possibility of trading either Sutton or Jerry Jeudy last offseason, the Broncos are expected to move on from one this offseason.”
Report on Denver Broncos’ offseason plans
Of the two, the 28-year-old Sutton would likely draw the most interest. The former Pro Bowler caught 59 passes for 772 yards and 10 touchdowns a season ago. He’s currently playing under a four-year, $60.8 million contract that runs through the 2025 season.
As for Jeudy, he’s been an enigmatic figure since the Broncos made him a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. That includes some major drop issues.
Despite this, Jeudy is still only 24 years old and boasts a tremendous amount of upside. He hauled in 54 passes for 758 yards a season ago.
