Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has some big decisions ahead of him following this year’s World Cup, and that includes possibly accepting an insane nine-figure offer from Al-Nassr FC.
Ronaldo is busy at the moment leading Portugal in the 2022 World Cup. The team has earned five points in the round-robin portion of the tourney, lead their group, and has already advanced into the all-important first elimination round of the event. However, there are big questions surrounding the 37-year-old once Portugal’s cup run comes to an end.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s second tenure in the English Premier League with Manchester United — after signing in 2021 — has been a disaster. He has not helped the team compete for the top of the table in that time, and he has been the source of serious drama as he has left games early and frustrated the club, his coach, and his teammates.

It was originally expected that the transfer market might finally pick up after his showing in the World Cup, however, Manchester did not want to wait that long and came to terms on a mutual release from his contract. Now, he heads into the end of the year as one of the biggest free agents in the sport, and one Saudi Arabian club is willing to pay him a wild amount to join their team.
Cristiano Ronaldo offered a $300+ million deal by Al-Nassr
On Wednesday morning, ESPN broke the news that Saudi club Al Nassr FC has extended an offer to Cristiano Ronaldo for three and a half years and would pay him over 100 million euros ($103 million) annually. It is a shocking number for a player far removed from the prime of his career and in an obvious performance decline.
The club is also reportedly willing to pay Ronaldo the money he would have earned if had finished his contract with Manchester United. He is not expected to review any offers he gets until the conclusion of his time in Qatar.
The belief is that Saudi Arabia is hoping the boost the superstar gives to their domestic league could improve their chances of landing the 2030 World Cup.
This report comes days after a story that fellow great of the last decade, Lionel Messi, could be headed to the MLS’s Inter Miami next year. Meaning two of the most famous players in the sport could be on the move in 2023.
