Andrew Luck out of minicamp with calf injury, ‘has no doubts’ he’ll be healthy for training camp

The Indianapolis Colts are holding their three-day veteran mandatory minicamp this week, but star quarterback Andrew Luck will not be practicing.

Luck is still dealing with a calf injury that kept him out of OTAs earlier this offseason. Despite the lingering injury, head coach Frank Reich is confident that Luck will be good to go come training camp.

Luck himself has no doubts he’ll be a full go for training camp later this summer, noting he has still been throwing “significantly” this offseason.

The Colts are likely just being very cautious with their star quarterback. No doubt, if this were the regular season he’d be able to play on Sunday. However, given the time of year it is, and how valuable Luck is to the franchise, there’s no reason to rush him back onto the field.
