On Saturday, March 22, NBA and WNBA players will come together at the University of Toronto’s Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport for a good cause. They’ll suit up in the sixth annual West Park Foundation Tournament of Stars to support UHN’s West Park Healthcare Centre and its life-changing rehabilitation services.
The 2025 celebrity participants in the West Park Foundation Tournament of Stars include:
- Seven-time NBA All-Star Joe Johnson
- Five-time WNBA All-Star and two-time WNBA Scoring Champion Angel McCoughtry
- NBA Champion and four-time NBA All-Star Metta Sandiford-Artest (formerly known as Metta World Peace)
- Two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer
- NBA Champion and two-time NBA All-Star Rashard Lewis
- NBA All-Star and former Toronto Raptor Jamaal Magloire
- Former Raptors Michael Bradley, Matt Bonner, Jerome “JYD” Williams and Jamario Moon
- As well as former professional players Cuttino Mobley, Ticha Penicheiro, Corey Maggette, Mario West, Mario Chalmers and Ricky Davis

Team draft night is on March 21 at the Toronto Event Centre, and participating teams will get to be a part of an exclusive draft cocktail party. At the party, they’ll pick the NBA/WNBA alum that will join their team, and the order will be based on their team’s fundraising efforts. The more donations a team secures, the higher their draft pick. For their part, NBA/WNBA alums will offer a reason why they should be the first pick in the West Park draft.
The following day is the official West Park Foundation Tournament of Stars, which includes five-on-five competitions. The festivities will also include a three-point contest and a kids’ basketball clinic hosted by Jerome “Junkyard Dog” Williams.
Tickets to attend and watch the tournament are available for $25.
