The Tennessee Titans traveled to Northern California on Sunday to take on the Oakland Raiders in a game with major playoff implications.
After falling down 7-0, Tennessee was able to tie the game up on a Derrick Henry 12-yard touchdown run. Almost immediately after that, the Titans took over at Oakland’s nine yard line. One play later, and Tennessee found itself up 14-7.
It came on a 91-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Tannehill to rookie receiver A.J. Brown.
That’s just insane stuff right there. Tannehill was legit throwing from his own goal line. He hit Brown at about the 50-yard line in stride. Without a safety over the top, Oakland was helpless to stop the touchdown.
This is the most-recent example of why Tennessee believes Tannehill can be a long-term option in Nashville. He’s 5-1 since taking over for Marcus Mariota and is playing tremendous football.
