Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson made his spring training debut with the New York Yankees on Friday. Yeah, that’s a sentence most of us figured wouldn’t be written…ever.
In any event, Wilson’s initial at-bat with the Yankees didn’t result in the type of success he’s seen on the football field. Wilson struck out on a fastball high and inside from Atlanta Braves pitcher Max Fried.
It most definitely wasn’t a thing of beauty for the Super Bowl winning quarterback.
Maybe not the result @DangeRussWilson wanted, but a fun cameo for the fans (and it looks like Wilson, too). #YANKSonYES pic.twitter.com/RZ3LFawpnf

Earlier in the at-bat, Fried made Wilson look absolutely silly on a curve.

Nice try, Russ. It’s now time to focus on football. No one needs you pulling a Michael Jordan here.
