Anyone who watched Rashaad Penny play at San Diego State in 2017 knows all he does is make big plays. During the second quarter of the 2018 Senior Bowl on Saturday, he proved he can do it against top-level competition, too.
The running back came through in a big way, catching a very nice throw by Kurt Benkert out of Virginia and taking it to the house.

Already with a huge run in the first quarter, this play put Penny well over 100 yards on the game, too.

Many who’ve been in Mobile all week watching these players practice noted that Penny didn’t particularly impress during those practice sessions. But when it was time to put on a show during the game, he showed up in a big way.
Based on his production — led the FBS with 2,248 yards and scored 25 touchdowns in 2017 — Penny will likely be a guy teams are tempted to pick up on Day 2 when the 2018 NFL Draft rolls around in April.
