NFL YouTuber Tom Grossi’s 30 in 30 fundraiser raises over $300,000 for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital

NFL YouTuber Tom Grossi announced in April that he was launching a 30 in 30 series, touring all 30 NFL stadiums in 30 days across June to raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As the fundraiser comes to an end, it’s been a massive success.

Grossi, a Green Bay Packers fan who has a long history of holding fundraisers to raise money for reputable charities, has spent all of June touring one NFL stadium per day. Along the way, he’s held meet-ups with fans in each city to both connect with his audience and help raise more money for St Jude.

St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital‘s mission s to provide advanced cures and support for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Families whose children receive support from St Jude never receive a bill for treatment, travel housing, or food. It’s also received a 00% rating from charitynavigator.org.

During his “30 in 30” stadium tour, multiple NFL teams partnered with Grossi along the way. The Pittsburgh Steelers donated $1,000 and took him on a full stadium tour. Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys donated an autographed CeeDee Lamb jersey and the Cincinnati Bengals provided a signed Ja’Marr Chase football that Grossi auctioned off at the fan events with thousands of dollars all going directly to St. Jude.

Grossi’s YouTube series documenting the “30 in 30” trip also showcased the fan events, with thousands of fans all sharing what their team means to them, its significance to the city and providing perspective on their community.

By Day 26 of the fundraiser, Grossi and the NFL community raised over $300,000 for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In an effort to incentivize fans to donate along the way, he had multiple “punishments” that included dressing up in a Minnesota Vikings jersey, jumping through a table for Bills Mafia and staying in a haunted hotel in New Orleans ($250,000 raised).

Grossi also received support from The Pat McAfee Show, which brought him in for a sit-down interview while he was in Indianapolis, helping provide hundreds of more dollars for a great cause.

Other NFL teams also played a big part in the “30 for 30” series. The Denver Broncos went all-out with their stadium tour, the Atlanta Falcons showed their fan and environmentally-friendly stadium and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers showed off the pirate ship.

St. Jude, which always accepts donations, notes that the majority of its funding comes from donations and the average DIY fundraiser raises $1,200. Putting that into perspective, that money alone is enough to provide four days of oxygen.

After visiting the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the 30 in 30 schedule classes out with the Las Vegas Raider (June 26), Arizona Cardinals (June 27) and Los Angeles’ Sofi Stadium (June 28). While this is undeniably Grossi’s largest fundraiser ever by far, it certainly won’t be his last.
