The Seattle Seahawks are going to be sporting some amazing throwback uniforms for the 2023 season. In particular, their 1990s throwbacks will be a major theme for a home outing against the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 29.
While the Seahawks’ silver helmet and blue jersey uniform combination from the 1990s is an epic look, it’s how Seattle’s social media team made the announcement that’s even better.
They literally took us back to the 1990s, providing some nostalgia for children and young adults of that era.
If you don’t believe us, just follow this link. It’s da bomb. One can even say it’s all that and a bag of chips.
Oh, remember those dial-up days? That time when you legitimately had to tell a family member to get off the phone to use the Internet. Youngsters don’t know how good they have it today. It’s the equivalent of children from the 1950s marching in 10 miles in the snow to school.

But the Seattle Seahawks were not done there. The video they included with Wednesday’s throwback uniform announcement was hella fly.
The fact that Seattle used 21-year-old rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba as a star in this video might not even be the best part. But it’s pure class given that he wasn’t even born in the 1990s.
We absolutely love the set-up of the video, too. From the alarm clock to the lava lamp and old-school Gary Payton poster, the ‘Hawks went out of their way to ace this announcement.
Majorly wicked stuff here.
