Social media reacts wildly to Philadelphia Eagles’ 37-34 win over Buffalo Bills

When the 2023 NFL schedule came out, a matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles looked like one of the best games on this year’s football calendar. Yet, heading into Week 12, instead of the game being a matchup between potential Super Bowl contenders, the Bills entered the week clinging to life in the AFC playoff picture. Meanwhile, the Eagles were back to being one of the best teams in the NFC.

Sunday’s matchup actually did live up to the hype, however, as both the Bills and Eagles took turns being in command of the game, but ultimately, there can be only one winner. In what was likely one of the most-watched games of the week, a lot of eyeballs were on the Eagles’ 37-34 win over the Bills. Naturally, social media had their fair share of fun reacting to a game with several shifts in momentum.

Here are just a few of the best responses uncovered on X.

One of the biggest plays of the game came in the fourth quarter with the Eagles trailing 24-21, before Jalen Hurts found Olamide Zaccheaus for an improbable 29-yard touchdown.

But that was just the beginning of the fourth quarter fun.

Later, with just 1:52 remaining, Josh Allen finished a 10-play, 54-yard drive that soaked up 5:14 of the clock by finding Gabriel Davis for a seven-yard touchdown strike to give Buffalo the lead at 31-28.

While the early theatrics were awesome, it was Eagles kicker Jake Elliott who stole the show, by drilling a 59-yard field goal in blistery conditions to send the game to overtime.
