Over the course of the NBA Finals, Sportsnaut is challenging you to engage in what promises to be an interesting project. We have seeded our top-16 teams in the history of the NBA and just put the finishing touches on the brackets.
Here we are. On to the second round of Sportsnaut’s Greatest NBA Championship Teams Tournament. Only eight teams remain and we are currently at the regional final, or in NCAA Tournament terms, “The Elite Eight.”
The Old School Region went according to form in the first round. The 1964-1965 Boston Celtics absolutely destroyed Rick Barry and the 1974-1975 San Francisco Warriors to the tune of 86 percent to 13 percent. They will be taking on the 1972-1973 New York Knicks, who defeated the 1952-1953 Minneapolis Lakers.
