Ohio State was one-loss away from the College Football Playoffs. Those pesky Michigan Wolverines knocked off their rivals to finish undefeated and sent the Buckeyes to a New Year’s Six bowl instead.
The outlook for next season was grim, especially after starting quarterback Kyle McCord surprisingly opted to go into the transfer portal.
That changed on Thursday as Kansas State’s Will Howard said he was transferring to Ohio State, according to a report from ESPN.

In the past two seasons, Howard was 12-5 as Kansas State’s starter. Last season, he led the Wildcats to a win in the Big 12 title game against TCU.
Howard can run and pass, two qualities Ohio State quarterbacks tend to possess. He threw for 48 touchdowns and ran for 19 at Kansas State. He also had 5,786 passing yards.
Will he be enough to lead the Buckeyes to a win against Michigan next season? That’s all that matters really. Ohio State seems to run through the rest of the Big Ten like they’re high school teams. Only Michigan has kept it from competing for another title.
