Odell Beckham Jr. signs with Baltimore Ravens for as much as $18 million

The Baltimore Ravens may not officially know who their starting quarterback will be this season, with Lamar Jackson still unsigned. But we’re starting to get a clearer picture of how the Ravens’ pass-catchers will look with Odell Beckham Jr. now joining Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman in Baltimore.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, OBJ is signing a one-year contract worth up to $18 million. This reportedly includes $15 million in guarantees, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This is much more respectable than other earlier offers, which were reported as ‘low’ as $4 million guaranteed.

Baltimore reportedly sweetened their original offer to Beckham after news emerged of the New York Jets’ plans to meet with the three-time Pro Bowl receiver. Doing so prevented the face-to-face visit, which was set for Monday, with Aaron Rodgers expected to touch down in the Big Apple later this offseason.

Instead, Beckham, 30, will presumably catch passes from former NFL MVP Lamar Jackson instead, provided the two parties can reach a contract extension.

Beckham had been searching for his next contract all offseason after finally showing he’s fully recovered from tearing his ACL during Super Bowl LVI in February 2022. Now he can finally settle in with Baltimore, where he’s set to face his former team twice per season in the AFC North. Teams will be very interested in seeing how quickly Beckham can get back to his dominant self, if at all, in Baltimore.
