Capitals Lineup
The Capitals’ roster is once again a mixture of NHL talent and players battling for spots.
Washington alternate captains John Carlson and Tom Wilson are set to make their exhibition debuts. Connor McMichael and Dylan Strome return to the lineup too.
Sonny Milano, Hendrix Lapierre, Ivan Miroshnichenko, Andrew Cristall, Ethen Frank, and Vincent Iorio will all continue to fight for roster spots. Milano and Lapierre have both looked impressive in training camp and the preseason.
Sheldon Rampal is set to make his Capitals debut tonight. The 30-year-old forward most recently played for the KHL’s Salavat Yuluaev Ufa in 2024-25.
The three Washington players cut on Tuesday were Patrick Thomas, Cam Allen, and Terik Parascak. Both Thomas and Allen were loaned to Hershey after getting preseason experience this past Sunday. Meanwhile, Parascak was loaned to his junior team, the WHL’s Prince George Cougars.
Charlie Lindgren and Logan Thompson are the goalies. Lindgren played all three periods in the Caps’ preseason win against the Devils this past Sunday.
UPDATE: Thompson will play the whole game, per head coach Spencer Carbery.
