The New Jersey Devils, now 17-12-1 after finally taking a 4-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday to snap a five-game skid, face the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena, who stand at 15-9-2 with an 8-4-1 home record. Back home for a three-game homestand, the Devils have some ground to make up for after their previous failed homestand.

The Devils were buoyed by their depth on Tuesday in Ottawa. As they await the returns of Jack Hughes and Brett Pesce, they’ll certainly need those contributions more often, even when the top guys, such as Nico Hischier, Timo Meier, and Jesper Bratt, are going well.

Let’s dive into tonight’s matchup.
