It genuinely felt like things were coming to a head on Wednesday for the New Jersey Devils. It doesn’t get lower than Tuesday’s 9-0 shutout. They’re officially at rock bottom. Even if they lost every single game from this point on, it would just maintain their status as a bottom dweller.
