When it comes to Lane Hutson, few defencemen manage to keep up with his impressive scoring race. In fact, most forwards have a hard time matching his output as well. Hutson registered 66 assists in the calendar year, placing him among the elite in the NHL.

Speaking of Hutson, the thought of facing a few days without hockey must be difficult for a player who is more comfortable on the ice than on the couch. Hutson didn’t waste much time getting back on the ice, though he wasn’t practicing in Brossard. Rather, Hutson spent time playing shiny with young players around Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.

Don’t look now, but rookie Ivan Demidov is leading all first-year players with 30 points.

The Green Bay Packers aren’t quite where they’d like to be this season. They won’t win as many games as last year. There’s a chance they may not even make the playoffs. Yet, that doesn’t mean there haven’t been several individuals who have enjoyed a strong season. Others, have put together impressive careers in Green Bay, but some are on expiring contracts, which puts their future in a Packers uniform in some level of doubt. [Sportsnaut]
