With Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season in the books, now is the perfect time to reevaluate which offenses are surging and which are in serious trouble. With that in mind, get a look at our new NFL offense rankings for Week 6.
1. Detroit Lions (LW: 1)

The Detroit Lions’ offense was the cream of the crop for much of last season. They could throw over teams but also bludgeon them with a solid run game. However, many wondered if they could maintain that elite play without former OC Ben Johnson.
In 2025, Detroit’s offense continues to chug along as the best in the game. On Sunday, they continued their impressive play with a 37-point showing against the Bengals. In Week 5, they didn’t need a 300-yard performance from Jared Goff because they got 118 yards on the ground from two running backs, and they made Cincy pay for their three turnovers. Detroit remains the top-scoring team in the league (34.8 PPG).
2. Buffalo Bills (LW: 3)

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills‘ offense were one of the best in the league all of last season by using a total team effort, smart play, and a balanced attack. It is why the QB won his first MVP award. All of the pieces from last season are back this year, and they should be very good again.
On Sunday, the unit that was scoring 33.3 PPG was surprisingly held to just 20 points. They slowed down James Cook, and he only ran for 49 yards, and they didn’t let Allen dominate through the air. It was the first time this season that Buffalo’s offense was forced to look average.
3. Los Angeles Rams (LW: 4)

If Matthew Stafford’s back doesn’t end his season early, the Los Angeles Rams offense can be one of the best units in the NFL again because of the strong skill players they have in Puca Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams.
In Week 5, LA’s offense played well, and their QB tossed for nearly 400 yards and three TDs. However, despite a pair of 80-plus yard days from Adams and Nacua, two fumbles cost the offense points and win against rivals the 49ers on Sunday.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 5)

Baker Mayfield’s career renaissance with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been one of the best stories in football over the last two years. However, running back Bucky Irving added balance to the offense last season, and it is part of why this unit is one of the best in the game.
Despite not having Mike Evans and Irving, the Bucs offense still posted 38 points in a huge shootout win in Week 5. Mayfield hit on 29 of 33 passes (Amazing) for 379 yards and 2 TDs. But the big story was rookie Emeka Egbuka reeling in 163 yards and a TD on just seven catches. Tampa may have the 2025 offensive rookie of the year.
5. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 2)

The Baltimore Ravens‘ offense was one of the league’s elites last season. They delivered a balanced attack led by 2024 MVP Lamar Jackson and backed by future Hall-of-Fame running back Derrick Henry. They will bring all the key pieces of the unit back in 2025 and add former Texans great DeAndre Hopkins.
In Week 5, the Ravens offense was without top star Lamar Jackson, and it showed in a bad 44-10 loss to the Texans. Backup Cooper Rush was terrible as he threw three interceptions, and the Houston defense bottled up Derrick Henry. Holding him to just 33 yards this weekend.
6. Indianapolis Colts (LW: 6)

Daniel Jones beating out Anthony Richardson for the Indianapolis Colts’ starting QB job in the summer created hope that the unit could be better in 2025. However, no one expected the start the unit has gotten off to this season.
After some key mistakes last week, the Indy offense roared back in NFL Week 5. Dropping 40 on the Raiders in a blowout win. Jones tallied two more passing TDs, and Jonathan Taylor chipped in with a trio of touchdowns on the ground. They have the No. 2 scoring team in the NFL right now.
7. Dallas Cowboys (LW: 8)

Last season was a wash for the Dallas Cowboys‘ offense after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury in Week 10. However, big things are expected from the unit in 2025 with him back healthy and big-play threat George Pickens joining the unit.
After putting up 40 points last week, the Dallas offense posted 37 against the Jets on Sunday. The unit delivered an all-around performance as Prescott tossed four TDs, Javonte Williams ran for over 130 yards on the ground, and Ryan Flournoy had a career day with 114 receiving yards. Dallas is the third-best passing team in the NFL (272.2 YPG).
8. Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 7)

With Jim Harbaugh as head coach, the Los Angeles Chargers‘ offense relied less on the passing game and aimed to be a more balanced group. In year two for their coach, the offense seems primed for another step forward.
Last week, they played solidly and got a huge day from Omarion Hampton as the rookie ran for 128 yards on just 12 carries. However, he was held in check on Sunday, and Justin Herbert shockingly led them in rushing yards (60). In general, it was a weird day for LA’s offense as they managed just 10 points in a frustrating home loss to Washington.
9. Green Bay Packers (LW: 10)

More was expected from this unit, led by Jordan Love and star running back Josh Jacobs, in 2024. However, the Green Bay Packers’ offense was not among the elite last season. But after adding big-play receiver Matthew Golden in the NFL draft, there are big expectations in 2025.
After scoring just 10 last week, the Packers’ offense got right in Week 4 against a terrible Dallas defense. They scored 40 as Love tossed 337 yards and 3 TDs, and Josh Jacobs had a big day with 157 total yards and 2 TDs. However, 40 was only enough for a tie against the ‘Boys.
10. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 11)

There are signs that the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense’s best days are behind it. They were not as formidable in 2024, as their receivers were less impactful, and Travis Kelce is in a big career decline. Suspensions and injuries to the WR corps are also reasons why they have struggled early in the new season.
However, with Xavier Worthy back on the field and the continued growth of Tyquan Thornton, the offense has been much better the last two weeks. While they didn’t get the W on Monday night, they still put up 28 points, and Mahomes threw for over 300 yards and 60 more on the ground. It should have been enough to win, but their defense let them down in Week 5.
11. Seattle Seahawks (LW: 12)

The Seattle Seahawks’ offense was a solid group in 2024. That should still be the case this year with Sam Darnold under center. Stud receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the undisputed No. 1 and will be backed up by former Pro Bowler Cooper Kupp.
Sam Darnold was great in Week 5 as he threw for 341 yards, 4 TDs, and just 1 INT as he hit on 28 of 34 passes. Unfortunately, he and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (132 receiving yards) we outdueled by Baker Mayfield and Emeka Egbuka on Sunday. Their 35 points should have been good enough to win.
12. Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 9)

The Philadelphia Eagles’ adding Saquon Barkley last year proved to be a paradigm shift moment in the NFC. The former Giants star delivered an MVP-caliber season in his debut and gave them one of the most balanced units in the league. They should be just as good in 2025.
Should is far from a guarantee. And while the Eagles have put up points this year, they haven’t been a dominant force. That was the case again in Week 5 as they managed just 17 points in a frustrating defeat against Denver. For some reason, they also got away from the run game in the second half and managed just 45 rushing yards in the loss.
13. San Francisco 49ers (LW: 13)

The San Francisco 49ers brought back the same unit as 2024, sans Deebo Samuel. But they began the season without WR1 Brandon Aiyuk, and unfortunately, they have dealt with early-season injuries to offensive stars George Kittle and Brock Purdy.
Yet, despite being battered by injuries to key players all year, Mike Shanahan’s offense continues to get the job done. In a huge road win against the Rams, backup Mac Jones had a big day as he threw for 342 yards and 2 TDs. Plus, offensive anchor Christian McCaffrey added 139 total yards and a TD.
14. New England Patriots (LW: 16)

Rookie Drake Maye wasn’t the problem with the New England Patriots’ offense in 2024. Now, with some better pieces around him and Mike Vrabel in charge as head coach, there is hope for big improvements from the Pats’ offense in 2025.
After rampaging for 42 points against the Panthers in Week 4, Maye and the Pats offense played well again against a far better Bills team. They were kept quiet on the ground, but former Buffalo star Stefon Diggs dominated with 10 catches for 146 yards and was the key in a big 23-20 road win on Sunday night.
15. Washington Commanders (LW: 14)

Top pick and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels was everything the Washington Commanders’ offense could have hoped for and more in 2024. The young star was a huge reason they were on the cusp of a Super Bowl appearance. Now with Deebo Samuel as another weapon and Terry McLaurin happy following a big pay bump, Washington has the talent to consistently be in our top 10.
On Sunday, they finally got Daniels back after two weeks away, and he delivered a rock-solid performance as the offense put up 27 in a big win over the Chargers. However, the real star of the show was Jacory Croskey-Merritt. The rookie 7th-round pick had a career day as he tallied 111 rushing yards and a pair of TDs in Week 5.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 15)

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense is led by another QB well past his prime in 2025. This time, it will be league legend Aaron Rodgers. While they added DK Metcalf, they lost Najee Harris in free agency and traded George Pickens. If Rodgers plays like he did last year, Pittsburgh will struggle.
While the greybeard has not been a world beater over the first four weeks, he has done what is necessary to lead the Steelers to a 3-1 start. On Sunday in Ireland, the run game led the way with 131 combined yards (99 yards and 2 TDs from Kenneth Gainwell) in their victory in Week 4.
17. Denver Broncos (LW: 19)

After some early-season struggles with rookie QB Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos’ offense got much better in the second half of the 2024 season. Setting up a 2025 campaign that has the potential for even more progress for the offense.
After being down 17-3 heading into the fourth quarter, Nix led a wild 18-0 run in the final 15 minutes to help pull off a huge upset win against the Eagles on Sunday. Courtland Sutton pulled in 99 yards on eight catches, and JK Dobbins chipped in with 79 yards and a TD on the ground.
18. Minnesota Vikings (LW: 18)

The Minnesota Vikings’ offense will be one of the most intriguing groups to watch in 2025. After Pro Bowler Sam Darnold left in free agency, all the pressure was on 2024 first-rounder JJ McCarthy to prove Minny made the right move to make him the starting QB. However, an early-season injury has forced journeyman Carson Wentz into several starts this year.
In Week 5, they got a big game from Justin Jefferson as his 123 yards saved them from a big upset loss to the Browns in London. Wentz was solid (236 yards and a 1 TD). However, he is not giving any reason to think there is a growing QB controversy in Minnesota.
19. Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 23)

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense was a major disappointment last season. Even when former No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence was available, they struggled. They’ll hope for a turnaround this year with new head coach Liam Coen and the help of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.
On Sunday, the Jags’ offense made the best of a little luck and scored a big come-from-behind win against conference powerhouses, the Chiefs. Versus a good defense, Lawrence and the offense put up 31 points and got solid performances across the board in a huge victory in Week 5.
20. Atlanta Falcons (LW: 20)

It seemed like the Atlanta Falcons’ offense made the right move in 2024 when they moved on from expensive free agent addition Kirk Cousins to make Michael Penix Jr. their new starting QB. He showed signs of his potential late in 2024. However, he has struggled at times this season and was even benched in Week 3.
On Sunday, Penix Jr. had his best game of the season. While he tossed an INT, he only missed on six of his 26 passes for 313 yards and two TDs. He also got some nice help from the rushing attack as it put up 128 total yards and 2 TDs in their win over the Commanders. That attack is the fifth-best in the NFL and is averaging 136.5 yards a game on the ground.
21. Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 17)

The Las Vegas Raiders offense’s lone bright spot last year was the emergence of Brock Bowers as one of the best tight ends in the league. And he did that with a messy QB situation. However, they are hoping veteran QB Geno Smith and first-round RB Ashton Jeanty can help make the unit one to fear in 2025.
Following a three INT day last week, Smith came back and threw two more and no TDs in an ugly blowout loss to the Colts. Vegas managed just six points on Sunday, and the 1-4 team seems headed toward a top-five pick in April.
22. Houston Texans (LW: 26)

Despite some high expectations after adding Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs last year, the Houston Texans‘ offense never really reached its potential during the 2024 season as CJ Stroud battled through a sophomore slump. If he can’t return to the player he looked like in 2023, it will lead to a big shift in how good the Texans are projected to be in the years ahead.
After a rock-solid performance last week, Stroud and the Texans’ offense played well again on Sunday. The young QB hit on 23 of 27 passes for 240 yards and four TDs versus the Ravens. He oversaw a total team effort in Week 5 as Houston obliterated a banged-up Ravens team to the tune of a 44-10 win.
23. Chicago Bears (LW: 21)

The Chicago Bears’ offense looked promising early in 2024 but experienced a steady decline for much of last season. However, there are high hopes for Caleb Williams and the unit this year, following the bolstering of the O-line and the addition of offensive guru Ben Johnson as their head coach.
Following a 31-point showing against Dallas last week, Chicago’s offense came back to earth on Sunday. While they still scored 25 to help get the win, that was more due to three INTs by the Raiders. Williams only threw for 212 yards, and the rushing attack only had 69 combined yards in the victory.
24. Miami Dolphins (LW: 22)

The Miami Dolphins’ offense disappointed in 2024 after QB Tua Tagovailoa missed much of the first half and top receiver Tyreek Hill showed signs he may be exiting his prime. On paper, they should be a formidable group in the AFC if they can stay healthy. But that is a big if, and the unit took a massive hit in Week 4 when Hill suffered a season-ending leg injury.
In Week 5, the Dolphins’ offense managed to put up 24 points, and Tagovailoa played well. Hitting on 27 of 36 for 256 yards and 3 TDs. Jaylen Waddle also reeled in 110 as the undisputed WR1. However, they got nothing from their run game, and their 24 points weren’t enough to beat the Panthers.
25. New York Jets (LW: 24)

New New York Jets head coach Aaron Glen has a major challenge ahead. While the offense has a couple of high-impact talents in Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, new starting QB Justin Fields did not look good this summer. If he can’t improve, Gang Green’s offense could be a bottom-10 group in our rankings all year.
On the surface, Fields’ stats seem good (309 total yards and 2 TDS). However, his five sacks and 24.2 quarterback rating show the numbers we just fluff. Despite playing one of the worst defenses in the league, New York only scored 22 in a frustrating loss on Sunday. The Jets have the fifth-worst passing offense in the league (175 YPG).
26. New York Giants (LW: 27)

The New York Giants’ offense has two outstanding players in Malik Nabers and Andrew Thomas. However, the rest of the unit leaves something to be desired. With head coach Brian Daboll and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka in a win-or-be-fired scenario, their 0-3 start led them to take the bold step of benching veteran Russell Wilson for rookie first-rounder Jaxson Dart.
In his first NFL start, Dart was fine. However, he did show the element he brings to the game that Wilson couldn’t by running for 54 yards and a TD on 10 carries. They also got another rock-solid day from fellow rookie Cam Skattebo during a big upset win over the Chargers in Week 4.
27. Arizona Cardinals (LW: 28)

The Arizona Cardinals’ offense has the pieces to be a pretty good unit. The big question is, will everything come together for them in 2025? Trey McBride had a breakthrough season last year, but unfortunately, 2024 top pick Marvin Harrison Jr. disappointed. It doesn’t help that in Week 3, they lost James Conner suffered a season-ending foot injury.
Despite a favorable matchup and a solid performance from the run game (168 yards), the Cards managed just 21 points on Sunday and lost to a 0-4 Titans team. It likely was a sign of more average days to come without James Conner in the backfield.
28. Carolina Panthers (LW: 29)

Last season, Bryce Young showed growth. While he didn’t fill up the stat sheet, he gave Carolina Panthers management reason to believe the former No. 1 overall pick still can be the future of their organization. Plus, in the offseason, they landed the best receiver in this year’s draft class, Arizona star Tetairoa McMillan. On paper, this unit can be better.
After getting benched in a game for a third straight season, Bryce Young was a bit better on Sunday. However, Carolina was able to pull off a big win this week due to a career day from Rico Dowdle as the five-year veteran rumbled for 206 yards and a TD in Week 5.
29. Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 25)

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals’ offense were hampered by injuries and the lack of a reliable run game last season. In the offseason, they doubled down on their pass game when they gave both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins huge extensions. However, they are not going to get the most out of either player after Burrow suffered a toe injury that should sideline him for the rest of the regular season.
Backup Jake Browning continues to prove that fact as he had another rough day in Week 5. While he posted 3 touchdowns, he balanced that out with 3 more INTs (he now has 8). It played a major role in being blown out 37-24 by the Lions instead of being in the game late.
30. New Orleans Saints (LW: 30)

Despite speculation that rookie Tyler Shough would win the starting QB job, the New Orleans Saints begin the year with 2024 fifth-rounder Spencer Rattler back under center for new head coach Kellen Moore. With an offensive-minded coach and solid weapons in Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave, the NO offense, hopefully, should be better.
While they scored more in Week 4, their 19 wasn’t anywhere close to keeping pace with the Bills’ scoring machine. It was unfortunate because the run game had its best showing of the season with three players rushing for over 40 yards and combining for 189 on the ground. But Rattler through just 126 in their 31-19 loss this weekend. They are currently fourth-worst in the league for PPG at 16.5.
31. Cleveland Browns (LW: 31)

The Cleveland Browns’ offense has been an unsurprising mess again in 2025. While Joe Flacco was given the keys to the offense, the greybeard’s poor play led to getting benched after four starts. Thus far, the lone bright spot has been the strong play of rookie running back Quinshon Judkins.
In Week 5, Dillon Gabriel got his first NFL start, and he was solid as he had no turnovers and threw a pair of touchdowns. However, the offense managed just 17 points in a loss to the Vikings. Judkins again did all he could to carry Cleveland’s offense, running for 110 yards on Sunday.
32. Tennessee Titans (LW: 32)

In 2025, the Tennessee Titans’ offense will have proven skill players in Tyler Lockett, Calvin Ridley, and Tony Pollard. However, they will also have rookie No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward running the offense. This will likely be an up-and-down season for the unit.
While it wasn’t pretty on Sunday, the Titans’ offense did enough to get 22 points on the board to get their first win of the season. The big bright spot in Week 5 was a big 131-yard day on just five passes from Calvin Ridley. They don’t win this weekend without him. Nevertheless, they remain the worst-scoring team in the league heading into Week 6 (14.6 PPG).
