Odell Beckham Jr.’s one-game suspension was upheld by James Thrash on Wednesday, and according to a report the New York Giants receiver wasn’t exactly full of remorse during the hearing.

ESPN’s Jonathan Coachman shared on Twitter after the decision came down that Beckham “showed little remorse” during the hearing, per Adam Schefter.

The statement Coachman is referring to was released not long after the decision came down.

In it, he apologized to the Giants as an organization, ownership and front office, the fans, to kids who look up to him and finally to his coaches and teammates. If you’re interested in reading the entire statement, click here (h/t NFL.com).

It does seem strange that Beckham would not show remorse during a hearing that was going to determine whether or not he played in the second-to-last game for the Giants this year. New York has an outside chance of making it into the playoffs, with some help from other teams, but those chances took quite a hit now that he’s out of the lineup Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

That said, perhaps he just wasn’t feeling much emotion after the craziness of the weekend.

Lord knows, this won’t be the last we hear about the hearing.
