With Week 4 of the 2025 season in the books, we have a month’s worth of tape on all 32 NFL offenses. But which units are the best of the best heading into this weekend’s games? Our Week 5 NFL offense rankings answer that, as well as fill you in on which groups have been the most embarrassing this year.

1. Detroit Lions (LW: 2)

nfl offense rankings

The Detroit Lions’ offense was the cream of the crop for much of last season. They could throw over teams but also bludgeon them with a solid run game. However, many wonder if they can maintain that elite play without former OC Ben Johnson.

After a poor performance in Week 1, the Lions’ O continues to quiet the doubters. On Sunday, they smashed a talented Browns defense with 34 points. While their individual stats don’t jump off the page in Week 4, the No. 1 scoring team in the league (34.3 PPG) made Cleveland pay for their mistakes all day.

2. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 1)

nfl offense rankings

The Baltimore Ravens‘ offense was one of the league’s elites last season. They delivered a balanced attack led by 2024 MVP Lamar Jackson and backed by future Hall-of-Fame running back Derrick Henry. They will bring all the key pieces of the unit back in 2025 and add former Texans great DeAndre Hopkins.

After a hot start over the first three weeks, Baltimore’s powerful offense was slowed down on Sunday versus the Chiefs. Mainly because Jackson went out with a hamstring injury. Nevertheless, Henry was kept completely in check with 42 yards, and they managed just 20 points in their third loss of the season. It knocked them out of the No. 1 spot as the top-scoring offense in 2025.

3. Buffalo Bills (LW: 3)

nfl offense rankings
Robert Deutsch / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills‘ offense were one of the best in the league all of last season by using a total team effort, smart play, and a balanced attack. It is why the QB won his first MVP award. All of the pieces from last season are back this year, and they should be very good again.

On Sunday, the efficient unit continued to chug along. While Allen threw his first INT of the season, they were once again great on the ground as James Cook led the way with 117 rushing yards in their win over the Saints. They are the second-best scoring team in the league (33.3 PPG).

4. Los Angeles Rams (LW: 4)

nfl offense rankings
Bill Streicher-Imagn Images

If Matthew Stafford’s back doesn’t end his season early, the Los Angeles Rams offense can be one of the best units in the NFL again because of the strong skill players they have in Puca Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams.

The LA offense continued its momentum on Sunday with a big day from Stafford as the greybeard threw for 375 yards and 3 TDs. Most of those passes went to Nacua as the third-year receiver played like a superstar against the Colts. Posting 13 catches for 170 yards and a TD in a major home win.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 7)

nfl offense rankings
Nathan Ray Seebeck-Imagn Images

Baker Mayfield’s career renaissance with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been one of the best stories in football over the last two years. However, running back Bucky Irving added balance to the offense last season, and it is part of why this unit is one of the best in the game.

If not for a 14-point outburst in the third, the Tampa offense was mostly held in check by the Eagles on Sunday. Mayfield had solid numbers (289 passing yards and 2 TDs), and they got a pair of 100-plus receiving yards performances from Bucky Irving and Emeka Egbuka, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Eagles in Week 4.

6. Indianapolis Colts (LW: 8)

Daniel Jones beating out Anthony Richardson for the Indianapolis Colts’ starting QB job in the summer created hope that the unit could be better in 2025. However, no one expected the start the unit has gotten off to this season.

In Week 4, they played well again and were in striking distance of a big road win against the Rams. Unfortunately, two INTs from Jones and an awful end zone fumble by Adonai Mitchell were costly in their 27-20 loss.

7. Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 6)

Troy Taormina-Imagn Images

With Jim Harbaugh as head coach, the Los Angeles Chargers‘ offense relied less on the passing game and aimed to be a more balanced group. In year two for their coach, the offense seems primed for another step forward.

On Sunday, they played solid and got a huge day from Omarion Hampton as the rookie ran for 128 yards on just 12 carries. However, two costly INTs from Justin Herbert played a big role in their surprising loss to the Giants in Week 4.

8. Dallas Cowboys (LW: 9)

Dallas Cowboys

Last season was a wash for the Dallas Cowboys‘ offense after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury in Week 10. However, big things are expected from the unit in 2025 with him back healthy and big-play threat George Pickens joining the unit.

After scoring only 14 points last week, the Dallas offense came back to life with a big 40-point day against a good Packers defense. Prescott threw for 319 and 3 more TDs on Sunday, and Pickens had a breakout day with 134 yards and a pair of TDs in his first start as the WR1. Unfortunately, their awful defense gave up just as many points in a 40-40 tie in Week 4. Heading into Week 5, Dallas leads the league in total yards at 1,617.

9. Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 5)

The Philadelphia Eagles’ adding Saquon Barkley last year proved to be a paradigm shift moment in the NFC. The former Giants star delivered an MVP-caliber season in his debut and gave them one of the most balanced units in the league. They should be just as good in 2025.

On Sunday, the unit put up 31 against the Bucs as they moved their record to 4-0. However, the offense is making the most of the opportunities their defense gives them rather than dominating. Hurts threw for only 130 yards. However, he did chip in with 62 on the ground. But he led the team as Saquon Barkley has not cracked 100 rushing yards in a game this season. There is reason for concern when it comes to Philly’s offense.

10. Green Bay Packers (LW: 10)

nfl offense rankings
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

More was expected from this unit, led by Jordan Love and star running back Josh Jacobs, in 2024. However, the Green Bay Packers’ offense was not among the elite last season. But after adding big-play receiver Matthew Golden in the NFL draft, there are big expectations in 2025.

After scoring just 10 last week, the Packers’ offense got right in Week 4 against a terrible Dallas defense. They scored 40 as Love tossed 337 yards and 3 TDs, and Josh Jacobs had a big day with 157 total yards and 2 TDs. However, 40 was only enough for a tie against the ‘Boys.

11. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 13)

nfl offense rankings

There are signs that the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense’s best days are behind it. They were not as formidable in 2024, as their receivers were less impactful, and Travis Kelce is in a big career decline. Suspensions and injuries to the WR corps are also reasons to expect some struggles early in the new season.

However, with Xavier Worthy back on the field, the offense came to life in a way it hadn’t all year. Scoring 37 against a beat-up Ravens defense on Sunday. Mahomes was strong as he hit on 25 of 37 passes for 270 yards and a season high 4 TDs. Worthy was stellar as he ran for a team high 38 yards, and reeled in 83 more threw the air.

12. Seattle Seahawks (LW: 16)

nfl offense rankings

The Seattle Seahawks’ offense was a solid group in 2024. That should still be the case this year with Sam Darnold under center. Stud receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the undisputed No. 1 and will be backed up by former Pro Bowler Cooper Kupp.

After a rough showing in Week 1, the Seahawks’ offense has developed some serious momentum over the last three games. On Sunday, Darnold was rock solid and efficient again as he hit on 18 of 26 for 242 yards, and they got an all-around effort from the run game to post 155 total yards in a win over Arizona. They are now sixth in the league for points per game at 27.8.

13. San Francisco 49ers (LW: 11)

nfl offense rankings
Darren Yamashita-Imagn Images

The San Francisco 49ers will bring back the same unit as 2024, sans Deebo Samuel. But they will also be without WR1 Brandon Aiyuk for the first month of the season. Unfortunately, they have dealt with early-season injuries to George Kittle and Brock Purdy.

While their starting QB was back in Week 4, his performance was a mixed bag. He threw for over 300 yards and 2 TDs. However, he only hit on 22 of 38 passes and had three turnovers (2 INTs). It was a key reason they only managed 21 in their loss to the Jaguars. The one bright spot was another big all-around day from Christian McCaffrey (151 total yards and 1 TD).

14. Washington Commanders (LW: 12)

nfl offense rankings
Bill Streicher-Imagn Images

Top pick and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels was everything the Washington Commanders’ offense could have hoped for and more in 2024. The young star was a huge reason they were on the cusp of a Super Bowl appearance. Now with Deebo Samuel as another weapon and Terry McLaurin happy following a big pay bump, Washington has the talent to consistently be in our top 10.

Unfortunately, a knee injury has sidelined Daniels for the last two weeks. While backup Marcus Mariota had a big day in Week 3, he struggled at times against Atlanta. Throwing for just 156 yards. It also didn’t help that McLaurin and Austin Ekeler (for the season) were out for their Week 4 loss.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 18)

aaron rodgers

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense is led by another QB well past his prime in 2025. This time, it will be league legend Aaron Rodgers. While they added DK Metcalf, they lost Najee Harris in free agency and traded George Pickens. If Rodgers plays like he did last year, Pittsburgh will struggle.

While the greybeard has not been a world beater over the first four weeks, he has done what is necessary to lead the Steelers to a 3-1 start. On Sunday in Ireland, the run game led the way with 131 combined yards (99 yards and 2 TDs from Kenneth Gainwell) in their victory in Week 4.

16. New England Patriots (LW: 21)

nfl offense rankings

Rookie Drake Maye wasn’t the problem with the New England Patriots’ offense in 2024. Now, with some better pieces around him and Mike Vrabel in charge as head coach, there is hope for big improvements from the Pats’ offense in 2025.

After a disappointing showing in Week 3, the Pats offense rampaged for 42 points against the Panthers in Week 4. Maye only needed 14 completions to throw for over 200 yards and 2 TDs. In the win on Sunday, Stefon Diggs had his biggest performance yet as he tallied 101 yards through the air against Carolina.

17. Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 15)

nfl offense rankings
Geoff Burke-Imagn Images

The Las Vegas Raiders offense’s lone bright spot last year was the emergence of Brock Bowers as one of the best tight ends in the league. And he did that with a messy QB situation. However, they upgraded in the offseason by trading for Geno Smith and adding stud RB Ashton Jeanty in the draft. This group has the potential to make noise in the AFC West this season.

After a good showing last week, Smith had a nightmare day again as he had three interceptions in a very winnable loss against the Bears in Week 4. The run game gave them the lead heading into the fourth as the unit posted 240 yards, and Jeanty led the way with 138 yards and a TD in his best day as a pro. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.

18. Minnesota Vikings (LW: 19)

nfl offense rankings

The Minnesota Vikings’ offense will be one of the most intriguing groups to watch in 2025. After Pro Bowler Sam Darnold left in free agency, all the pressure is on 2024 first-rounder JJ McCarthy to prove Minny made the right move to make him the starting QB. However, an early-season injury has forced journeyman Carson Wentz into several starts this year.

Following a strong performance in Week 3, Wentz showed why he has been a backup for much of this decade as he was sacked six times and threw 2 INTs. It wasted a performance where he also tossed 2 TDs and 350 yards. Despite a late rally, the Vikings fell in a frustrating loss to Pittsburgh this week.

19. Denver Broncos (LW: 17)

After some early-season struggles with rookie QB Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos’ offense got much better in the second half of the 2024 season. Setting up a 2025 campaign that has the potential for even more progress for the offense.

So far this season, it has been a mixed bag for the Broncos. However, on Monday night, the unit delivered a strong, all-around performance. Running back JK Dobbins had a big day as he rumbled for 101 yards on just 16 carries, while RJ Harvey also chipped in with another 58. Plus, Nix played well, tossing 326 yards and a pair of TDs in a dominant win over the Bengals.

20. Atlanta Falcons (LW: 22)

nfl offense rankings
Dale Zanine-Imagn Images

It seemed like the Atlanta Falcons’ offense made the right move in 2024 when they moved on from expensive free agent addition Kirk Cousins to make Michael Penix Jr. their new starting QB. He showed signs of his potential late in 2024. However, he has struggled at points this season and was even benched in Week 3.

On Sunday, Penix Jr. had his best game of the season. While he tossed an INT, he only missed on six of his 26 passes for 313 yards and two TDs. He also got some nice help from the rushing attack as it put up 128 total yards and 2 TDs in their win over the Commanders. That attack is the fifth-best in the NFL and is averaging 136.5 yards a game on the ground.

21. Chicago Bears (LW: 25)

nfl offense rankings
USA Today Sports

The Chicago Bears’ offense looked promising early in 2024 but experienced a steady decline for much of last season. However, there are high hopes for Caleb Williams and the unit this year, following the bolstering of the O-line and the addition of offensive guru Ben Johnson as their head coach.

Following a 31-point showing against Dallas last week, Chicago’s offense came back to earth on Sunday. While they still scored 25 to help get the win, that was more due to three INTs by the Raiders. Williams only threw for 212 yards, and the rushing attack only had 69 combined yards in the victory.

22. Miami Dolphins (LW: 20)

nfl offense rankings
Rich Storry-Imagn Images

The Miami Dolphins’ offense disappointed in 2024 after QB Tua Tagovailoa missed much of the first half and top receiver Tyreek Hill showed signs he may be exiting his prime. On paper, they should be a formidable group in the AFC if they can stay healthy. But that is a big if, and the unit took a massive hit in Week 4 when Hill suffered a season-ending leg injury.

On Monday night, despite losing Hill, the Miami offense was able to do enough to scratch out 27 points in their win over the Jets. Mostly because New York fumbled the ball three times and gave them extra possessions. They got the win, but there are no obvious signs that the unit is actually getting better.

23. Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 23)

Jacksonville Jaguars
Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense was a major disappointment last season. Even when former No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence was available, they struggled. They’ll hope for a turnaround this year with new head coach Liam Coen and the help of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.

On Sunday, the Jags’ offense did enough to score 26 and make the most out of four turnovers by the 49ers. The big standout in Week 4 was Travis Etienne, as he posted his second 100-plus rushing game (124) of the season in the win.

24. New York Jets (LW: 24)

Syndication: USA TODAY

New New York Jets head coach Aaron Glen has a major challenge ahead. While the offense has a couple of high-impact talents in Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, new starting QB Justin Fields did not look good this summer. If he can’t improve, Gang Green’s offense could be a bottom-10 group in our rankings all year.

After being sidelined last week, Fields was back, and he played well. Posting 307 total yards and 2 TDs. However, three fumbles by the offense on Monday night played a key role in coming up just short against the Dolphins, 27-21. Mistakes continue to be a huge problem for the Jets’ offense and team as a whole.

25. Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 14)

nfl offense rankings
Sam Greene/The Enquirer / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals’ offense were hampered by injuries and the lack of a reliable run game last season. In the offseason, they doubled down on their pass game when they gave both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins huge extensions. However, they are not going to get the most out of either player after Burrow suffered a toe injury that should sideline him for the rest of the regular season.

After a rough first start, backup Jake Browning again struggled on Monday night. Throwing for only 125 yards against Denver. Plus, his run game gave him next to nothing as the backfield combined for just 53 yards in Week 4. It continues the offense’s slide in our NFL offense rankings.

26. Houston Texans (LW: 31)

Despite some high expectations after adding Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs last year, the Houston Texans‘ offense never really reached its potential during the 2024 season as CJ Stroud battled through a sophomore slump. If he can’t return to the player he looked like in 2023, it will lead to a big shift in how good the Texans are projected to be in the years ahead.

After a rough first three weeks, the Texans’ offense was far better on Sunday. Stroud hit on 22 of 28 for 233 yards and a pair of TDs, and the run game chipped in with 129 yards. Their 26-point showing helped remove them from being the worst-scoring team in the league this season.

27. New York Giants (LW: 29)

NFL: Los Angeles Chargers at New York Giants
Brad Penner-Imagn Images

The New York Giants’ offense has two outstanding players in Malik Nabers and Andrew Thomas. However, the rest of the unit leaves something to be desired. With head coach Brian Daboll and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka in a win-or-be-fired scenario, their 0-3 start led them to take the bold step of benching veteran Russell Wilson for rookie first-rounder Jaxson Dart.

In his first NFL start, Dart was fine. However, he did show the element he brings to the game that Wilson couldn’t by running for 54 yards and a TD on 10 carries. They also got another rock-solid day from fellow rookie Cam Skattebo during a big upset win over the Chargers in Week 4.

28. Arizona Cardinals (LW: 26)

Arizona Cardinals
Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images

The Arizona Cardinals’ offense has the pieces to be a pretty good unit. The big question is, will everything come together for them in 2025? Trey McBride had a breakthrough season last year, but unfortunately, 2024 top pick Marvin Harrison Jr. disappointed. It doesn’t help that in Week 3, they lost James Conner suffered a season-ending foot injury.

In a big divisional clash on Sunday, the Cards’ offense was able to keep pace with Seattle. However, two big INTs by Kyler Murray undercut a potential win, and Arizona’s run game was limited to just 89 combined yards in their Week 4 loss.

29. Carolina Panthers (LW: 27)

nfl offense rankings
Kim Klement Neitzel-Imagn Images

Last season, Bryce Young showed growth. While he didn’t fill up the stat sheet, he gave Carolina Panthers management reason to believe the former No. 1 overall pick still can be the future of their organization. Plus, in the offseason, they landed the best receiver in this year’s class, Arizona star Tetairoa McMillan. On paper, this unit can be better.

Unfortunately, things were rough again for Young and the Carolina offense. They managed just 13 points in a blowout loss to the Patriots. The former No. 1 overall pick hit on just a little over half of his 30 passes for 150 yards. It led to getting benched late in the game. Every season of Young’s career, he has been benched for poor play.

30. New Orleans Saints (LW: 30)

nfl offense rankings
Stephen Lew-Imagn Images

Despite speculation that rookie Tyler Shough would win the starting QB job, the New Orleans Saints begin the year with 2024 fifth-rounder Spencer Rattler back under center for new head coach Kellen Moore. With an offensive-minded coach and solid weapons in Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave, the NO offense, hopefully, should be better.

While they scored more in Week 4, their 19 wasn’t anywhere close to keeping pace with the Bills’ scoring machine. It was unfortunate because the run game had its best showing of the season with three players rushing for over 40 yards and combining for 189 on the ground. But Rattler through just 126 in their 31-19 loss this weekend. They are currently fourth-worst in the league for PPG at 16.5.

31. Cleveland Browns (LW: 32)

Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns’ offense begins 2025 without a couple of major pieces. Gone is Nick Chubb, and Deshaun Watson is still rehabbing his torn Achilles tendon. In their place are greybeard Joe Flacco and rookie Quinshon Judkins. While they added Jerry Jeudy, this offense is not expected to do a lot in the new season.

In Week 4, Judkins again proved to be the lone bright spot as he tallied 82 yards and a TD on 21 carries. However, Flacco was again disappointing as he threw two more TDs. It led to being replaced by Dillon Gabriel late and a growing QB controversy. Cleveland is the second-worst scoring team in the NFL right now at 14.0 PPG.

32. Tennessee Titans (LW: 28)

tony pollard
Andrew Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

In 2025, the Tennessee Titans’ offense will have proven skill players in Tyler Lockett, Calvin Ridley, and Tony Pollard. However, they will also have rookie No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward running the offense. This will likely be an up-and-down season for the unit.

Over the first four weeks, the unit has been one of the worst in the league. Ward continues to make the mistakes of inexperience, and the offer continues to suffer from it. And unfortunately, they haven’t been elevated by the play of their top receivers or Pollard. On Sunday, they hit a new low when they were shut out by a 0-3 Texans team.
