After months of emptiness, football is finally in the air as training camp is officially underway for all 32 NFL teams. Each team and player hold different expectations, but part of what makes the NFL so compelling is how unpredictable it can be.

While some things are set in stone, like Patrick Mahomes being the Kansas City Chiefs’ starting quarterback, other jobs are up for grabs. Plus, teams may still be eyeing some significant roster changes. Below, we make one bold training camp prediction for all 16 teams in the AFC. Here’s our list of bold predictions for each team in the NFC.

Baltimore Ravens: Team Adds New RB2

While Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry are the Baltimore Ravens’ top two rushers, this team lives and dies by the ground game. Should an injury occur to Henry, the Ravens would be in deep trouble. As a result, don’t be surprised if the Ravens add another competent rusher to their group before Week 1 kicks off.

Buffalo Bills: Elijah Moore Emerges as Top-3 WR

Despite being the 34th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Elijah Moore is still seeking his first breakout season. Though, he’s still been mildly productive, topping 446 in all four years. Now given a chance to catch passes from an elite QB, don’t be surprised if Moore emerges as a top weapon in Buffalo.

Cincinnati Bengals: Trade Trey Hendrickson

The Trey Hendrickson situation is unpredictable at this point. He could sign a new contract at any point, putting an end to all the drama. Yet, the longer this gets drawn out, the higher chance that we’ll see him traded to a different team. Remember, all it takes is one team making an offer too good to refuse.

Cleveland Browns: Shedeur Sanders Gets Cut

The Cleveland Browns still don’t know who their starting quarterback will be, but expecting a fifth-round rookie to win the job over three other contestants seems unlikely. The Browns won’t be cutting their third-round pick Dillon Gabriel. Joe Flacco may be in line to win the starting job, and the Browns gave up a fifth-round pick for former first-round pick Kenny Pickett too. In other words, don’t be shocked if the Browns try slipping Sanders through to their practice squad.

Denver Broncos: RJ Harvey Earns Starting Job

The Denver Broncos signed J.K. Dobbins this offseason, but he’s never made it through more than 15 games in a single season. With constant injury concerns surrounding Dobbins, it’s certainly possible the Broncos like what they see from rookie second-round pick RJ Harvey and end up making him the starter instead.

Houston Texans: Aireontae Ersery Earns Starting Role

While Cam Robinson was signed to be the likely starting left tackle, the Houston Texans made Aireontae Ersery a second-round pick for a reason. If he already looks sharp in camp, why not move forward with the rookie and either trade Robinson or find a different role, such as left guard, right tackle or even as the top backup in town.

Indianapolis Colts: Daniel Jones Supplants Anthony Richardson as QB1

Anthony Richardson may be a former fourth overall pick, and he’s flashed talent, but he also comes with flaws. Unless he can prove his accuracy troubles are a thing of the past, Richardson may have a hard time keeping up with the more experienced Daniel Jones here.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Caleb Ransaw Joins Starting Ranks

The Jacksonville Jaguars have had some troubles in the secondary, which is partially why they were willing to make the bold move for Travis Hunter. Meanwhile, they like what they see from third-round rookie safety Caleb Ransaw. If he can get acclimated quickly, don’t rule out a starting role for Ransaw, even as a rook.

Kansas City Chiefs: Jawaan Taylor Gets Traded

Jawaan Taylor was an outright disaster for the Kansas City Chiefs last season. No wonder they’ve since drafted a tackle in the first and signed Jaylon Moore. Ultimately, Taylor could be relegated to backup duties, which could prompt a trade to a new team.

Las Vegas Raiders: Tyree Wilson Gets Traded

Simply put, Tyree Wilson hasn’t developed the way the Las Vegas Raiders hoped when they made him the seventh overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. While it’s too early to call him an outright bust, the Raiders have Malcolm Koonce returning from injury, which could mean Wilson’s opportunities will be dire in Vegas. Thus, if they get a respectable offer, don’t be surprised if Wilson gets traded elsewhere.

Los Angeles Chargers: Trey Lance Loses Roster Spot

Trey Lance may have been signed to offer the Los Angeles Chargers a new facet in Jim Harbaugh’s offense as a QB with dual-threat potential. However, we have a hard time envisioning Justin Herbert coming off the field for a few gimmick plays, which is why we don’t see Lance landing on the final 53-man roster. A practice squad spot could certainly be in play.

Miami Dolphins: Team Signs New Starting CB

Jalen Ramsey got traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for Minkah Fitzpatrick, but the Miami Dolphins still have a glaring hole at cornerback. If the Dolphins’ coaching staff isn’t impressed with their talent on hand, don’t be surprised if they consider signing a new corner who emerges as a starter.

New England Patriots: Team Trades for New Starting Player

After an offseason of changes (and lots of spending), the New England Patriots are being looked at as a potential breakout candidate. But that doesn’t mean this roster is complete. If the Pats feel they’re on the cusp of greatness, don’t be surprised if they cash in some of their chips for a new starter, somewhere on the team.

New York Jets: Team Trades for New Starting WR

NFL: New York Jets Training Camp

Justin Fields is the new starting quarterback for the New York Jets, but does he have enough to succeed with? If the passing game looks ugly in camp, we could see a scenario where the Jets make a move for another receiver who can better complement Garrett Wilson.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Kaleb Johnson Becomes RB1

NFL: Combine

The Pittsburgh Steelers were willing to let former first-round pick Najee Harris walk in free agency, meaning former undrafted free agent Jaylen Warren is in line to start. While Warren is a competent replacement, Kaleb Johnson has higher upside. If he flashes his talent early on, Johnson could very well emerge as the team’s new RB1.

Tennessee Titans: Team Trades for New QB2

Now that Will Levis is out for the season, the Tennessee Titans are looking a bit thin at the QB position. Sure, they have respectable camp arms in Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle, but the Titans are in serious trouble if either sees game action. In other words, expect the Titans to eventually comb the waiver wire or even trade a late-round selection in exchange for a new backup.
