Tennessee Titans
- Tennessee Titans NFL salary cap room: $67.0 million
- Key Tennessee Titans signings: Lloyd Cushenberry, Chidobe Awuzie, Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley, Kenneth Murray
Landing star wide receiver Calvin Ridley from the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars will end up being an on-field boon. The question is Ridley’s $23 million average annual salary. Meanwhile, adding former Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard will also help matters here.
New England Patriots
- New England Patriots NFL salary cap room: $57.84 million
- Key New England Patriots signings: Mike Onwenu (re-signed), Antonio Gibson, Jacoby Brissett
Calling the shots this offseason, Eliot Wolf has decisions to make with with Uche and Dugger. Both are young enough to play a role in the team’s rebuild after moving on from legendary head coach Bill Belichick. Placing the transition tag on Dugger gives New England a path to retain him this offseason.
At least initially, the expectation is that these Patriots went with some under-the-radar signings. That included bringing back star offensive lineman Mike Onwenu and signing dual-threat running back Antonio Gibson.

Los Angeles Chargers
- Los Angeles Chargers NFL salary cap room: -$20.59 million
Joe Hortiz and Jim Harbaugh had a tall task. The likes of Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams were set to count a combined $142 million against the cap in 2024. Of those, Williams was released with Mack being restructured. It remains to be seen what’s going to happen with Joey Bosa.
It won’t be enough for New Orleans to be incredibly active in free agency. But it’s a start.
