Our 2024 NFL salary cap tracker is now live with the offseason getting going. There are a number of teams who will boasted a ton of cap room heading into NFL free agency and the trade season.

New Commanders front office head Adam Peters has proven to be active during the first wave of free agency. The Up-and-coming Houston Texans have also upgraded at multiple positions

On the other end of the ledger, the Buffalo Bills were in salary cap hell before they moved off several veteran players in cost-cutting moves. Now, the Los Angeles Chargers had to make moves before the new league year opened.

Here, we look at where all 32 teams stand as it relates to the 2024 NFL salary cap with the offseason now here and free agency on full throttle.

First-year Commanders general manager Adam Peters is putting in the work. That includes adding five agents on the first day of the legal tampering period. Among them, Washington brought in center Tyler Biadasz and EDGE guy Dorance Armstrong from the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. Washington also signed Austin Ekeler away from the Los Angeles Chargers and All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner away from the Seattle Seahawks.

Landing star wide receiver Calvin Ridley from the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars will end up being an on-field boon. The question is Ridley’s $23 million average annual salary. Meanwhile, adding former Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard will also help matters here.

Calling the shots this offseason, Eliot Wolf has decisions to make with with Uche and Dugger. Both are young enough to play a role in the team’s rebuild after moving on from legendary head coach Bill Belichick. Placing the transition tag on Dugger gives New England a path to retain him this offseason.

At least initially, the expectation is that these Patriots went with some under-the-radar signings. That included bringing back star offensive lineman Mike Onwenu and signing dual-threat running back Antonio Gibson.

Joe Hortiz and Jim Harbaugh had a tall task. The likes of Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams were set to count a combined $142 million against the cap in 2024. Of those, Williams was released with Mack being restructured. It remains to be seen what’s going to happen with Joey Bosa.

It won’t be enough for New Orleans to be incredibly active in free agency. But it’s a start.
