NFL free agent QBs

Kirk Cousins Minnesota Vikings
Credit: Matt Krohn-USA TODAY Sports
  • Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings (Signed with the Atlanta Falcons): Coming off a torn Achilles, Cousins is set to hit free agency as he prepares for his Age-36 season. Typically, this would impact a quarterback’s market. But we’re not seeing that. He’s been linked to the Atlanta Falcons with a potential return to the Minnesota Vikings in the cards, too.
  • Jacoby Brissett, Washington Commanders (Signed with the New England Patriots): While Jacoby Brissett primarily served as the Washington Commanders’ backup quarterback in 2023, he outperformed Deshaun Watson as the starter with the Cleveland Browns in 2022. Brissett is viewed as a bridge quarterback or high-end backup.
  • Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins: While age has sapped some of Ryan Tannehill’s arm strength and athleticism, the veteran quarterback mentored Will Levis and can still be a fill-in starter in a pinch. He’ll likely be signed to backup a young quarterback in 2024.

NFL free agent running backs

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley
Credit: Kevin R. Wexler / USA TODAY NETWORK
  • Saquon Barkley, New York Giants (Signed with Philadlephia Eagles): Barkley, 27, hits NFL free agency after six pretty successful seasons with New York. He averaged north of 1,200 total yards and eight touchdowns in his time with the Giants. The only question here is durability. Barkley has missed 24 games to injury over the past four seasons.
  • Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans (Signed with Baltimore Ravens): To say that the 30-year-old Henry has been among the most-productive running backs in modern NFL history would be an understatement. He’s led the league in rush attempts four times and rushing yards two times. Over the past five seasons, Henry is also averaging nearly 1,700 total yards and 14 touchdowns. His age and workload will play a role in King Henry’s free agent market.
  • Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders (Signed with Green Bay Packers): The NFL rushing champion with Vegas back in 2022, Jacobs fell on hard times this past season. He gained just 805 yards on the ground at a clip of 3.5 yards per rush. We’re still expecting a strong market for a back who is 26 years old and just now hitting his prime.
  • Tony Pollard, Dallas Cowboys (Signed with Tennessee Titans): Splitting time with Ezekiel Elliott back in 2022, Pollard earned Pro Bowl honors. He recorded nearly 1,400 total yards and 12 touchdowns. In his first season as RB1 in Dallas, Pollard averaged a mere 4.0 yards per rush. This will force teams to take a step back when it comes to current NFL free agents.
  • Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles Chargers (Signed with the Washington Commanders): What Ekeler is missing in the running game (628 yards, 3.5 average last season), he makes up for as a receiver. He’s tallied 228 receptions over the past three seasons, catching 77% of his targets in the process.

NFL free agent wide receivers

Jacksonville Jaguars' Calvin Ridley
  • Calvin Ridley, Jacksonville Jaguars (Signed with the Tennessee Titans): The Jags willingness to let Ridley test free agency is a bit surprising. In his first season with the team, the former Atlanta Falcons first-round pick put up 76 receptions for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns. Other teams view him as one of the best NFL free agent wide receivers and someone who can be WR1. He’s a top NFL free agent. That’s for sure.
  • Marquise Brown, Arizona Cardinals: Brown just has not been the same receiver since Arizona acquired him from the Baltimore Ravens ahead of the 2022 season. This span has seen him average 59 receptions for 642 yards. This came after he gained 1,000 yards with Lamar Jackson tossing him the rock back in 2021 in Baltimore.
