Week 15 of the NFL season wraps up Monday and Tuesday with three of the four games taking place after postponemnets due to COVID-19.
It’s been a widespread outbreak of the virus among pretty much every team in the league, and has forced the NFL to change its policies to take into account those both vaccinated and boosted from the virus.
In the daily release of transactions on Monday, the NFL announced 51 more positive COVID-19 tests among players. It represents a single-day high, which was previously broken last week with 37 positives in one day.
Among the biggest names added to the reserve/COVID-19 list is Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce. As a vaccinated player, the Pro Bowler still has a chance to play Week 16 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The NFL is doing its best to play a full 18-week schedule without having to extend the regular season an extra week. That would obviously impact the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl.
Right now, things appear to be trending in a decent direction from that general perspective despite the continued outbreak of COVID-19 around the league.
