At a time when the Las Vegas Raiders are under fire for not following the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols, the league is continuing to see an outbreak of the virus as it enters the midway point of the 2020 NFL season. Depending on how you look at it, this latest virus-related news is not great.
This news release also indicates that 55 players and 82 other personnel around the league have tested positive for COVID-19 since testing began on Aug. 1. That’s out of more than 500,000 total tests.
As you can see, the positive test rate is much lower than the general public in the United States. Even then, it’s a tad concerning given the nature of the pandemic within the states and the fact that multiple NFL teams have refused to follow league-mandated COVID-related protocols.
