The New York Giants injury report has been filled with key starters on both sides of the ball throughout the 2023 NFL season. As they make final preparations for Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills, multiple starters will once again be sidelined.
New York already went into the week anticipating that left tackle Andrew Thomas would miss the upcoming game with an ankle injury. Unfortunately, he won’t be the only starter missing from the Giants’ offensive line on Sunday night.

Brian Daboll announced that Thomas, center Jogn Michael Schmitz (shoulder) and fellow offensive tackle Matt Peart (shoulder) are all ruled out for Week 6. In addition, per Jordan Raanan, edge rusher Azeez Ojulari (ankle) will be sidelined once again.
More devastatingly for the Giants’ offense, quarterback Daniel Jones is out for Week 6. In his absence, backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor draws the start on primetime against one of the NFL’s best defenses this season.
As of Friday afternoon, Daboll didn’t have an update on whether or not running back Saquon Barkley or right tackle Evan Neal will play.
Jones’s absence is another blow for one of the NFL’s worst offenses in 2023. Entering NFL games today, the Giants have scored the second-fewest points in football (12.4 PPG).
- New York Giants offense stats 2023: 12.4 PPG (31st in NFL), 255.2 total yards per game (32nd), 4.0 yards per play (32nd), 35.62% third-down conversion rate (26th)
On the other side of the ball, Buffalo’s defense is also banged up. All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano (leg) and Pro Bowl cornerback Tre’Davious White (Achilles) have already been ruled out for the season and starting defensive tackle DaQuan Jones was just placed on injured reserve.
Even with those injuries, the Bills are a double-digit favorite to beat the Giants on Sunday Night Football. Buffalo’s defense, which leads the NFL in pressure rate (32.6%) and sacks (21), should have a lot of success on Sunday against a Giants’ offensive line that has allowed the most pressures (96) and sacks (16) in the NFL this year.
