New York Giants head coach Joe Judge unlikely to be fired, ‘still confidence’ in him

It’s not hard to see Joe Judge’s second season coaching the New York Giants hasn’t gone according to plan. Another season overcoming injuries has led to a 3-7 record. These struggles come after Giants general manager Dave Gettleman went on an offseason spending spree aiming to improve upon last season’s 6-10 effort.

We’ve already seen Big Blue part with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, admitting it was a bad fit. With the Giants not showing any true signs of growth, some have questioned how secure Judge and Gettleman are in their current positions in the Meadowlands.

Well, Joe Judge appears to be safe, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

For now, the organization seems to have trust and confidence in their original hiring of Judge to be their head coach. To be fair, he hasn’t been given a ton to work with.

Daniel Jones has shown brief glimpses that make us think the Danny Dimes moniker fits, while being able to wow us with his athleticism. But there have been a plethora of injuries on offense, it’s hard to see what they have at the quarterback position. Not to mention, Garrett’s lack of aggressiveness and simple game plans have potentially held the bright Duke graduate back.

We’ll see how the G-Men play against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday in their first game without Garrett on the staff. Freddie Kitchens will take over play-calling for the rest of the year.
