A new report claims the New England Patriots have been shopping two of the top receivers on their depth chart, and the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs may be strong contenders in a potential trade in the next few weeks.
The first few official days of the NFL offseason have been very active. Day 1 of free agency was quite eventful and saw several teams make some big moves. However, the trade block will be a major source of impact decisions in the weeks ahead with many of the top free agents off the market.

The New England Patriots will be busy in free agency but it looks like they could be even busier in the trade market after moving Mac Jones last week. On Monday, the Boston Herald reported that the Patriots are actively looking to ship receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Devante Parker out of town in the coming weeks.
Both were notable additions the team made over the last couple of offseasons but the pair have underwhelmed during their stays in New England.
Would New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs be good landing spots for Smith-Schuster and Parker?
Smith-Schuster and Parker have shown the potential to be star receivers during their careers, however, both have been inconsistent due to injuries. They have had 1,000-plus yards seasons on their resumes and Smith-Schuster even earned Pro-Bowl honors in 2018.
The Steelers veteran seems like he could be a likely target for the Kansas City Chiefs. Last season showed how much they need more reliable receivers aside from Travis Kelce and Smith-Schuster was a notable contributor to their Super Bowl team two seasons ago. A return to the roster, just like Mecole Hardman at the deadline last year makes sense so they can try to recapture their offensive form of 2022.
With the New York Giants not having boatloads of cash to throw around and also in need of reliable pass catchers, Parker and his $6 million cap hit could be a good option for the team to bring veteran help to the wide receiver room in 2024. When he is right, the 31-year-old can make an impact in the NFL and whoever is playing QB in 2024 needs more weapons with Saquon Barkley no longer on the roster.
