This rivalry between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors has brought pettiness to an entirely new level. And it’s absolutely fantastic.
Following his team’s loss to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, Cavaliers forward LeBron James talked about how the defending NBA champions are in a bad spot.
This came one day after the two-time defending Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors blew away San Antonio for their ninth consecutive win. Meanwhile, Cleveland has lost five of its past seven.
We can wager a cool million that both the Cavaliers and Warriors are taking notice of what each team is doing heading down the stretch.
That was magnified by a recent Instagram post by Bleacher Report displaying James’ comments following Thursday’s loss.

Yes, reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry of the Warriors literally liked the post.
Take our individual rooting interests and throwing them to the side for a second, who the heck doesn’t want to see these two teams match up in the Finals for a third consecutive year? The pettiness would be absolutely off the charts.
