On Friday, the New York Yankees manager gave an update on Aaron Judge’s toe injury that should have fans very worried.
The New York Yankees are in a perilous position right now. Their early season struggles dropped them far down the standings in a division that is currently the best in baseball. And at this point, it does not seem like the Tampa Bay Rays or Baltimore Orioles will be slowing down anytime soon.

What makes it all the worse is the fact that they are now without reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge. The slugger was forced to the injured list earlier this month after making a spectacular catch in the team’s 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Unfortunately, in showcasing his glove he banged his foot on a concrete rise that held up that part of the fence.
New York Yankees record (2023): 39-30

Recently, there was some optimism he could be back soon, however, a league insider suggested the injury he suffered to his toe could be a long-term problem for Judge and the New York Yankees. Well, it seems those thoughts were prophetic.
Before the team’s game against the Boston Red Sox on Friday, their manager Aaron Boone revealed some troubling news about his top star. Apparently, Judge had a second PRP injection in his toe on Thursday because there is a second ligament that has been bothering him. Unsurprisingly, there is still no timetable for the superstar’s return.
Aaron Judge has missed the New York Yankees last nine games and the team is 4-5 in those games. Fortunately, they have not fallen too far in the MLB standings and are tied with the Houston Astros for the final Wild Card spot.
