Southern Cal’s Caleb Williams might have been the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner and the top-rated quarterback for next year’s NFL Draft, but the two best quarterbacks in the Pac-12 this season have been Washington’s Michael Penix and Oregon’s Bo Nix.

Those two QBs got their teams to a Top 5 ranking for most of the regular season and led their teams to the Pac-12 championship game.

Nix was outstanding for the Ducks in their 45-6 win against the undefeated Flames at the Fiesta Bowl.

He threw for 363 yards and five touchdowns, four of those scores coming in the first half. That gives him 4,508 yards and 45 touchdowns over the course of the season.

Michael Penix picked apart Texas’ defense at Sugar Bowl

Penix has improved significantly since transferring from Indiana to Washington. He threw for around 4,000 yards in four years at Indiana and has thrown for 4,600-plus at Washington in each of the past two seasons.

In the 37-31 win against Texas, Penix was brilliant, going 29-of-38 for 430 yards and two touchdowns. His ball placement was superb. He threw a bullet to Ja’Lyn Polk between two defenders for a touchdown.
