Kansas City Chiefs players brought to tears from highly ‘powerful’ Super Bowl eve speech by Travis Kelce

Ahead of their return to the Super Bowl on Sunday, Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce reportedly delivered a speech to his teammates and coaches that left the room without a dry eye.

In Super Bowl LVIII the Chiefs will be trying to do something that only eight other teams in NFL history have ever done by winning back-to-back Super Bowls. Kansas City was a popular choice over the surprising Cincinnati Bengals last year, however, they are underdogs against the San Francisco 49ers with some oddsmakers on Sunday.

The 49ers seem to have a QB of destiny, a world-class running back and wide receiver combo and a defense that is much more talented than they have shown in these playoffs. The Chiefs will need to be on their A-game inside Allegiant Stadium, and it seems one of their very best players gave an impassioned speech on Saturday to motivate the team and deeply touched every single member of the roster.

On Saturday afternoon, CBS Sporter reporter Tracy Wolfson spilled the tea about a highly emotional team meeting for the Kansas City Chiefs last night.

“It was an emotional night here at the Chiefs’ hotel. I was told that Andy Reid had his leaders — Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones — address the team. Now, I was also told that Travis Kelce ‘hit it out of the park.’ His speech was ‘powerful.’ It was impactful, there was not a dry eye in the house, and this team is absolutely ready to go.”

What makes the Chiefs so special is not only do they have strong leaders, but they also motivate and lead by example as their best players. While it won’t be easy, it will be hard to doubt Kansas City one bit on Sunday night in Las Vegas.
