Jimmy Garoppolo ahead of schedule in rehab from ACL tear

The San Francisco 49ers continue to get great news regarding franchise passer Jimmy Garoppolo, who is ahead of schedule in his rehab, per head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Speaking to reporters Wednesday from the NFL Scouting Combine, Shanahan said Garoppolo is also “doing drops” every day during his workouts, per Joe Fann of the team’s official website.

Garoppolo is going to be a participant in team OTAs barring any setbacks, and he should be a full go for training camp. He injured his knee in the third game of the 2018 season, derailing a campaign that began full of hope.

In nine games as a member of the 49ers, Garoppolo has passed for 2,278 yards with 12 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
