Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had it going early and often in Super Bowl LVII against the Kansas City Chiefs. That included the NFL MVP finalist registering three first-half touchdowns.
Using both his arm and feet, Hurts was hitting receivers all over the field. He was converting on fourth downs throughout. He was also scrambling at a level we’ve never seen in Super Bowl history. Literally.
Hurts put up 66 rushing yards on 13 attempts before three quarters were even up. That included a two-yard run late in the third quarter to put Jalen Hurts over the top for the most rushing yards in Super Bowl history from a quarterback.

The previous record was held by the late great Steve McNair. He put up 64 rushing yards in the Tennessee Titans’ Super Bowl XXXIV loss to the then-St. Louis Rams back in January of 2000. Jalen Hurts also boasts the Super Bowl record in rush attempts from the quarterback position. He had previously tied the mark for two rushing touchdowns from a signal caller in Super Bowl history before a fourth quarter touchdown run broke the record.
This is some absolutely insane stuff for a dude that’s making his debut in the big game against two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. He’s also not done yet.
