A new report suggests the Indiana Pacers are making two-time All-Star Pascal Siakam a top target before the Feb. 8 NBA trade deadline.
The Pacers have been one of the most interesting stories in the NBA over the first half of the season. After showing they had potential before going into a slump last year, Indiana has been a legitimate force in the Eastern Conference this year. Heading into the weekend they are the fifth seed in the conference and put themselves on the map by reaching the Finals of the In-Season Tournament.
Furthermore, a brewing rivalry with the Milwaukee Bucks and some recent victories over the powerhouse club in front of them for the division title have made the rest of the NBA take even more notice of their success. That is why there has been growing speculation that the Pacers could finally pull off a rare trade deadline deal.
While the Pacers have a strong unit of backcourt and swingmen led by budding superstar Tyrese Haliburton, the team has a clear weakness in the frontcourt. And it seems that the organization has a specific star forward on the trade block they are keeping their eye on.

Pascal Siakam is a top trade target for the Indiana Pacers
This week, ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski answered a fan inquiry on Threads — yes, Threads — about who Indiana could be targeting before Feb. 8. And he revealed they are likely to keep checking in on the same impending free agent expected to be available.
- Pascal Siakam stats (2023-24): 22.4 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 4.9 APG, 0.9 SPG
“I believe the Pacers will continue to be a team that probes on Toronto’s Pascal Siakam,” Wojnarowski wrote.
Siakam would be a dynamite addition for the Pacers and would give them a legitimate second top-tier scorer to pair with Haliburton in the playoffs. After the Raptors traded OG Anunoby to the Knicks last week, the two-time All-Star is likely to garner serious interest as the trade deadline grows closer.
