Gervonta Davis has proven once again that it is very beneficial to be a wealthy celebrity when it comes time to avoid jail time for serious charges.

Boxing superstar Gervonta Davis has had multiple run-ins with the law as he has risen to stardom in the fight game. However, despite multiple arrests, he continues to avoid jail time. That was again the case on Friday when he was given a slap on the wrist for his part in a crash that hospitalized four people, including a pregnant woman, two years ago.

In the early hours of November 5, 2020, the 28-year-old boxer was driving his Lamborghini Urus SUV when he ran a red light and struck a car with four passengers. He then drove away from the scene, and the passengers eventually needed medical attention for their injuries.

Gervonta Davis pled guilty to four different charges stemming from the crash and was originally looking to get 60 days of unsupervised home detention in a plea deal. However, one of the victims in the incident spoke out, which led to the deal being rejected by a circuit judge last year.

The gifted boxer is just a few weeks removed from the biggest win of his career when he stopped fellow rising superstar Ryan Garcia by seventh-round knockout in their bout inside Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. He is 29-0 with 27 of his wins by knockout.

Gervonta Davis has been arrested five times in total, including for domestic violence earlier this year.
