He has accuracy from the pocket, elite arm strength, and was a threat on the ground in 2020. He’s shown more consistency and upside than every quarterback in the draft not named Trevor Lawrence.” uploaddate=”2021-04-15″ thumbnailurl=”//cdn.brid.tv/live/partners/17660/thumb/757166_t_1618500928.png” contentUrl=”//cdn.brid.tv/live/partners/17660/sd/757166.mp4″]

It’s no secret that the Chicago Bears have been in desperation mode for a quarterback ever since the failed Mitchell Trubisky experiment came to a conclusion last season.

Head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace, both firmly on the hot seat, hope that they have found that after trading up with the New York Giants at No. 11 for former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

Chicago sent the 20th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, a future first-round pick and multiple mid-round picks to the Giants in order to pull off the blockbuster trade.

A divisive figure during the pre-draft process, there was talk of Fields landing as high as No. 3 overall to the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately for the dual-threat quarterback, he fell outside of the top-10. Fortunately, Fields lands in a situation where he might be able to start immediately with Andy Dalton currently QB1 on the Chicago Bears’ roster.

Fields began his college football career in Georgia before transferring to the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2019. During his two years as starter in Columbus, Fields led the Buckeyes to consecutive playoff appearances and posted a 20-2 record. He threw 63 touchdowns to only nine interceptions and ran for 867 yards and 15 scores. Fields is among the most gifted quarterback prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft.
