Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard might end up catching passes from Aaron Rodgers next season. It just won’t be in Wisconsin.
Hours after it was reported that the New York Jets had interest in Lazard, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that the young wide receiver has signed a four-year contract with the Jets.

As Schultz notes in his report, that will likely lead to Rodgers’ trade to the New York Jets being made official at some point soon. It was reported earlier on Tuesday that Lazard is one of the players Rodgers wanted New York to target during NFL free agency if he were to accept a trade to the AFC East team.

An undrafted free agent out of Iowa State back in 2018, Lazard has morphed into a solid receiver. He racked up 60 catches for 788 yards while hauling in 60% of his targets from Rodgers a season ago in Green Bay.
Allen Lazard will now team up with reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson at wide receiver in Jersey. He’ll also more than likely have Rodgers tossing him the rock when all is said and done.
More to come.
